  • I see a cactus growing beside the building. Have you, or can you do a Bonsai cactus? Thanks for all your efforts in making these videos.

  • Bonsai are usually consider woody stemmed plants, grown in miniature. I do make bonsai out of Jade plants which are succulents and related to cacti. I have sen miniature cacti, but don;'t think they are considered bonsai.

  • Great job doc!! am so enjoying this...just the bonsai i'd love in my front room....bonsai in two months....amazing!!!

  • Hi, I am not a wire enthusiast. I would suggest you watch the traditional bonsai people as they wire frequently and know the tricks of the trade. They can help you more than I can.

  • ive been wanting to wire my tree and i am a begginner i want the shakan style or cascade i own a 2 year old japanese junipre i also want a new tree i just need to be sure, but if i buy young trees like a bald cypress if i use wiring and i wire it the way i want to will it miniturize the tree

  • I Have to agree with Jerry on this. I want to Cascade a few of my apple trees that I just started. ( not so soon though, they are seedlings ). If its a managable size of a trunk i would just think that if you wire around the trunk and bend it into the position that you want would work. you can also use string and anchors to help pull it into the position you want.

But you should really watch some of the traditional videos or read some literature about it.
