This BBC documentary series is immensely moving. It's an amazing experience just to see how different animals strive to maintain their lives in conditions that are so severe that we humans find it unimaginable. How they manage to survive in temperatures as low as -40 degrees celsius with a very limited food supply, is beyond our comprehension. The footage in this documentary captures images in a world that we only see through our television but in a world that we have come to respect.
i watched this a couple weeks ago on a rainy day in with a friend, fire lit, hot chocolate and blankets, damn, such a cosy bit of escapism

The two series are very informative and informative. The program is really excellent and inviting to see the place during winter and spring/summer.
