  • waaaat, people will have to learn!

    that's insane!

  • Wave is amazing, particularly for a Beta.

    You know that's true.

I'm not massively disagreeing what what you're saying here, but I have over a hundred waves in my inbox and have absolutely no trouble at all keeping on top of them.

This doesn't look like you're using Wave for it's intended use at all.

Looks more like 4chan with the F5 key being held down

  • How is this any different than my current inbox? Dozens of emails from teammates on various projects. Currently I create folders and use filters to store relevant emails in those folders. It's not rocket science and I seem to use email just fine. I'm sure Google is smart enough to add similar functionality to Wave.

Hell, learning Facebook was a huge challenge considering is POS interface and functionality buried in odd menu items, but I don't see anyone shying away from using it.

  • I can't believe users will have to learn that. This is bad news.

  • If you do not look at public waves and your amount of contacts and waves you interact with is small, this will not be a problem. For a lot of users it will.

  • Why would you ever watch the stream of all public waves availible? That's not your inbox, I don't see how this is even comparable.

  • It is only a matter of size of your contacts and conversations you engage in. Do you know the feeling, when you have managed to get rid of all unread mail.

Now imagine, that your mails change places and updating occurs even more often. Thats gonna give a hard time to a lot of non-tech-savvy people.
