    --Betty :)

  • You are welcome Betty. For the record lol As a 4 year old (I still remember it) I loved peaches and BUTTER ,I take it easy on the butter but love peaches still. have a great week end!

  • I LOVE peaches Betty! I always have. great looking peaches and dish!I will skip h the alcohol as I do not drink. The sauce with some ingredients would make a nice glaze. Thanks Betty.

  • @LESTER7L1 I love peaches, too! This recipe is great without the liquor! Thanks for your lovely comment!

    --Betty :)

  • @LESTER7L1 The Flambe removes the alcohol, incase you're worrying :P

  • This was so good Ms. Betty that I made it twice this week. I poured it over Blue Bell's Southern Hospitality icecream.

  • @annettemint Thanks for your lovely comment and feedback! I appreciate it so much!

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • OH MY GOD THAT WAS RICK.

  • @avivelevovii Yes, that was Rick, prompting me on the number of peaches I used.

    --Betty :)

  • we'll be trying this one

  • @TheHillbillyGourmet I hope you enjoy it!

    --Betty :)

  • T_T not fair.. the imported peaches in Singapore are all tiny and sour.. far from ripe, sweet and juicy

  • @irenenergy I'm sorry about that; you could probably sweeten them up in this recipe, but it might be expensive to buy a lot of them!

    --Betty :)

  • I have peaches downstairs...this looks so yummy! D: I wish it wasn't 3 minutes past midnight...

  • @ChainsawJulietx I hope you get around to trying the peach flambe. I think you will enjoy it! Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • ah ah ah the flame did not work?

  • @aneromyllet35254ever I had some problems with it, but, if I did it over, I would heat the brandy and heat the peaches, and then combine them before flaming.

    --Betty :)

  • looks delicious i'm def trying this recipe

  • @yaraamda Thanks! I hope you enjoy the peach flambe!

    --Betty :)

    --Betty :)

  • You welcom , and thanks

  • I'm sorry for my bad english

  • @TheNass223 Your English is very nice!

    --Betty :)

  • This is a french desert , but when you put the alcool in the pan you have to put the flame on very very fast because when the alcohol is cooked all the alcohol dissolves and it can't give nice flames

  • @TheNass223 Thanks for the great info!

    --Betty :)

  • Hi Betty,

That looks delicious, can't wait for peaches to come into season:)!

  • @sagebk I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for your nice comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty,

I did like the fact that you closely and slowly demonstrated how to make roux cuz I think now u know what I'm doing wrong. I'm putting too much heat. Looks like u take it off and on the heat. U r simply the best Betty!!!! Ur my favorite cook here on YouTube! Maybe you'll have ur own tv show one day=)

  • @myiphonerocks3gS Thanks for your sweet comment! I appreciate it so much!

    --Betty :)

  • I don't think I'm ready and can graduate to flaming yet. I'm sure it taste better with the brandy and the carmelization on top but gosh. I don't want to risk burning my eyebrows off.

  • @myiphonerocks3gS My problem was just the opposite...I couldn't get a good flame going! It is really good without the brandy, though.

    --Betty :)

  • If you use canned peaches, do you have to drain them or can you use the liquid?

  • @TheJessMuch You can use the liquid, but leave out the water in the recipe.

    --Betty :)

  • Looks delicious. I am hungry for this. As ever, Betty, you look stunning.

  • @JimmyMacJones Thanks for your sweet comment, Jimmy!

    --Betty :)

  • Betty when will you make the Pavlova?

  • @John11191 I bought the ingredients last week, but didn't get to the Pavlova, and we had to use the fruit, so it wouldn't go bad. I will try again later!

    --Betty :)

  • It looks simply delicious. I just had to say that your hair looks beautiful curled like that (not that you do not always look beautiful), but I just had to let you know.

  • @ebonybelle1luv Thanks for your sweet comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I learned that you have to have the heat off and let it cool ever so slightly when flambe-ing, otherwise the alcohol all burns off before you can light it. Maybe try that next time?

  • @galfeh Thanks for the idea...I will try that! I was surprised at having a timing problem because of the pauses in making the video.

    --Betty :)

  • This is a lovely recipe.. Thank you for showing us how to make it.

  • you are amazing betty I absolutly love your recepies i make them all the time for my family and they think they are delicous and so flavorful!! keep up the good work hun!

  • This looks delicious! I love watching your videos. You have such a relaxing voice and you and Rick have the sweetest relationship. I'm a fan for life! Also, I live in the southwest part of Virginia, so I want to go to all of the restaurants that you have reviewed. You make the food sound so wonderful! Love you, Betty!

  • I wish you were my grandma, you are the best cook and looks like you make some great southern food. My grammy had a stroke a few years ago and isn't like she used to be.

Anyway, the peach flambe looks super tasty! Keep up the good cookin'!!!

    -Holden

  • That looks yummy.

    God Bless,

    Elba

  • @elbacooks4u Thanks, Elba! I hope all is well with you and your family! Have a great weekend!

    --Betty :)

  • For a good flame, light it right after u pour the brandy on. The longer you wait the more it will cook off and it wont flame:)

  • @shebabe03 Thanks for the tip; I think the camera work was messing me up, and I probably did wait too long!

    --Betty :)

  • I know you’re a busy one but is there any way you could do some kind of cherry recipe? I have a bag of frozen cherries and I DONT know what to do with them , lol I looked all over for recipes and there’s not allot of good cherry recipes out there. Any suggestions? Thanx :)

  • @shebabe03 I have done Cherries Jubilee and Cherry Crunch; you can always put together a spinach salad with cherries, pecans, and feta cheese. Also, you can follow a blueberry muffin recipe to make cherry muffins.

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen Thanx I will check out the cherry crunch video:) Oh and I asked where you live because I always see the Meijer & Kroger brands and thought you were from Michigan lol For some reason I thought they only had those chains in Michigan lol :)

  • Looks amazing!!

  • Rick should be more involved in the videos.... Ooh heres an idea... U should have a segment where rick tries to cook recipes that betty has made and u should call it Rick's Recipes

  • that looks great:-)

  • Good afternoon

Thank you for your delicious recipe. It seems to be very good.

    Have a good day. Respectfully.

    Your friend Sergio le gitan

  • If this can't immediately be served, can it be saved in the freezer? By the way, nice recipe.

  • @KBAFourthtime Thanks! Yes, you may freeze the sauce and then thaw it and heat it over low heat; it will be great over ice cream!

    --Betty :)

  • How old are you? I'm guessing 32?

  • @FactDrugsAreBad a lady never tells her age, but Betty and Rick have been married 42 years! :)

  • @FactDrugsAreBad You will be almost right if you double that!

    --Betty :)

  • @FactDrugsAreBad she's not 32 she has a daughter that has son named carter who's 2 or 3 i think and she's been married for 42 years and so i'm guessing 55-60

  • Lol who was that asking how many peaches?!

  • @DBrownofdc Betty's Husband!!

  • @DBrownofdc thats her husband, the camera man.

  • @DBrownofdc My husband, Rick, prompts me if he notices that I have left out something that is important to the recipe!

    --Betty :)

  • @bettyskitchen @DBrownofdc Betty and Rich is the cutest couple ever!! You should go and check out one of their wedding anniversary videos. It's sweeter than sugar!

  • I'm not sure how much alcohol brandy has, but I know that you should generally use a liquor with a higher alcohol content in order to get a flame. ;)

  • @TheRealQuerida I used the same brandy on my Cherries Jubilee, and it flamed well. On my Bananas Foster, I used rum, and it flamed well, too. This time I could only get a small flame, but the dish tasted really good anyway! Thanks for your information! (Some of you may want to change the liquor to rum.)

    --Betty :)

  • @TheRealQuerida are you kidding ? of course brancy has enough alcohol...just maybe wasnt enough or hot enough...

  • @mgblue Sorry but I don't drink brandy so I have absolutely no idea how much alcohol is in that. Anyway, it was just a suggestion and common sense that a higher alcohol content would produce a bigger flame.

  • @TheRealQuerida lol dont talk about common sense when you clearly have very little if you dont know brandy has a high alcohol content...i commented on your comment without watching the video and now i saw what betty did i know that it was because the alcohol wasn't hot at all when she put it in the pan...as betty said there was too much in the pan for the brandy to get hot enough before the alcohol got cooked out, betty could have heated the brandy and set it alight before putting it in

  • @mgblue Nice comment. Very classy. What are you gonna say that I have no class either cause I said common sense in my last comment? Wow! First of all, I didn't say that you don't have common sense did I. Also, you're really gonna be rude about a stupid flame? Go ahead! I really don't care, and excuse me if I don't drink brandy. It was just an observation, and it's a cooking video. Get over it.

  • @TheRealQuerida no i will say what does class have to do with anything...and i will go on to say this really isnt the place for petty arguements so...good day to you sir

  • Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee you look on this video, you look really pretty!!!!! and obviosly great recipe like always!!!!!!

  • That really looks delicious! I think it would be great @ room temp over angel food cake. Love your recipes!

  • Thank you, Betty :)

As always, another amazing recipe from you. Oh and your hair looks amazing!
