If he is respectful to his family, his friends, and to strangers. I so glad you put the REAL numbers out there for people to hear! I used to work with statistics and hear everyone supporting the rumor that in any given city, the black women out number the men by something ridiculous like 10:1. You came up with the same thing I did, the true ratio is more like 1.06:1, not even 2:1! This type of misrepresentation in the media is a huge part of the problem.

Thank you. Finally someone gets it. Statistics are not mutually-exclusive. A single individual can be a high school drop-out, in prison and unemployed all at the same time. They need to mine the information to determine how many black men meet all three of these above-referenced characteristics and not simply add the percentage of black men who are unemployed, have no high school diploma, and are in prison to determine who many eligible black men there are.

The author makes a very good point about how statistics can get manipulated. You see people doing that every day. The author points out that there are other things causing this issue, and that the statistics are not all that important. The bottom line is that feminism was all a sham: women in general still seek men taller, older, wealthier, with higher status, etc.

@hips2011 because "on my level" seems to be code for how much money someone makes...it's this blanket statement and nobody knows what it means...you bring up "education, financial, goals," which is all fine but they in no way make a person compatible...i don't speak for all men but i'm sure many will co-sign when i say a woman that is compassionate, affectionate, and willing to compromise is much more desirable...imo it seems that BW are spending more time looking for stats rather than character

In saying that, I try to say away from blanket statements, so I'll stay within the confines of my observations & experiences with Black women. Could black american please stop using the word "black" as generalisation to describe all black people, as an East African we do not have this problem in our society, our women get marry young and stay married.
