Would it be fair to say that this is the greatest double-live rock album of all time? I know it came out the same year as Frampton's record (1976), which may have sold more copies, but TSRTS had a look and feel to it that captured this time in rock so much better!

It's definitely a hard one to beat for sure. I've owned in on 8-Track, cassette, vinyl and compact disc. As much as I love live LP's, I don't think there's another one I've cherished as much as this one in its' original 1976 form, not the 2007 expanded and remastered edition.

i like zep's mystical, unique stuff better than their bluesy stuff, although i like both.

This song and most of their later albums were an answer to critics who said that zep just did blues and nothing else. In my opinion, zep's best songs are their non-blues songs.. such as this one, stairway, over the hills, thank you, ramble on, kashmir, rover, in the light, and of course the epic achilles last stand and many others.

Music of the angels (nearly). Thunder, and the lasting of the mighty hammer of thor. The long suffering and wisdom of the Soul. The great party was started. I then bought Physical Graffiti.
