  • Paddy Considine has aspergers like me! yay!

  • Paddy is made of awesome.

  • Brilliant actor, gorgeous smile.

  • That movie is brilliant.

  • Paddy is one of the greatest actors in the world in my opinion. Dead Man's Shoes is an excellent film. It was filmed in my town as well! :)

  • dance at my party!!!

  • he looked fucking horrifying in that role

  • Dead man´s shoes is the pork sword , cheers from méxico ...

  • I'd love to skip the struggle and failure part and just be an actor right there where you have your own style and which directors want and request. Thats where life as an actor becomes awesome. And yours.

  • An excellent actor

  • I love the tone and theme of the movie. It's just strange though, these "hardened" criminals who own the village seem so petty. They all have to squeeze into a single shitty car. They seem kind of just...thrown together. But then again, the thing is that the movie is about the undertone of over looked horror in an every day setting in a small town.

  • this film should have been nominated in the oscars and won for best foregin film :/

  • ill admit that big budget films are enjoyable to watch but its the films like dead mans shoes these days and the classic non-big budget films e.g. taxi driver that are really genuine, which is what big budget films lack

  • @bluegrinder84 Yes, your right,,,,,well said,,,,

  • he didnt get the prostitue in the film..

  • Great great film - great director and of course great actor Paddy C.

  • Fantastic film!! One of Englands finest by far!! Paddy Considine should be a fucking superstar by now!!!

  • I think even his name is neat. very irish.

  • fucking amazing actor, best actor ive watched ever.

im not even over exagerating a little

  • Well, you know? Things in one's community went wrong. Before you knew it there we're single parent families and drugs. So when I was offered the part in dead man's shoes I jumped at the chance! You see, I was once told by my parents to not run up the stairs, so naturally I know how to lie about things and- hence why I'm an actor.

  • what an excellent man he is. so very underrated. the film and paddy considine

  • MASTERPIECE ON ALL LEVELS!

  • similar to Harry Brown, LOVE IT

  • @enragedlemur No, Harry Brown is similar to DMS!

  • yeah, I thought it was quite similar to Harry Brown. I prefer this though. This bloke is a nutter.

  • Paddy is fucking great as always and this movie is brilliant.

  • They freaking made this in about 3 weeks and it beats EVERY hollywood creation i've ever seen.

  • @Thisismynameffs

SO SO true. This film is hardly known but my god, it is THE BEST THING EVER CAPTURED on film, including the amazing real life documentaries... everything. The acting and story line is like nothing i've ever seen before. I just cannot reccoment this film highly enough, words do not do it justice. THIS is the best film we have in our world.

  • paddy considine is a genius. whenever him and shane meadows get together, films like dead mans shoes are the result. one of the finest films ever made! incredible performance from paddy and i urge anyone who hasnt already seen them to watch romeo brass and le donk & scor-zay-zee. both alo brilliant films from the legend that is shane meadows

  • He knew which people hurt his brother as his brothers ghost/spirit was with him throughout the film, guiding him!hence the title DEAD MANS SHOES,Amazing film along with Romeo Brass.

  • And also there probably weren't too many drug dealers that his brother could've gotten involved with prior to his death in one town.

  • Paddy you are gorgeous!

  • Question for those who have seen the movie. I'll try to ask this question in a spoiler-less way:

How did he know which people hurt his brother?

  • i think he knew because it was one of those small towns where everyone knows everyone's buisiness.

what i want to know is how did he knew the last guy didnt hurt his brother. but its not important, dead mans shoes is a stunning film.

  • a think he knew who his brother hung about with b4 he went into the forces

  • i was thinking that when i watched it lol

  • His brother tells him. In the pool hall he says "He's one bruv"

  • fucking hero!

  • A truly incredible piece of film making. Meadows created, not just a modern-classic, but an all-time classic. Deeply moving, darkly comedic and soul-searingly satisfying. Still, the finest movie I have ever seen.

  • Well Said, I couldn't have said it better myself

    5*

  • just from watching 'dead man shoes' i find that considine is one of the greatest actors i've seen. as long as he gets the good roles, he deserves to get a huge amount more of recognition

  • try and check out "a room for romeo brass" if u already havnt. that was paddys first film and he smashes the part of morell.. that characters got more sides to him than richard i think but their both amazing performances ,

  • a film that really gets you.amazing, truly paddy's acting is as good as anything de niro EVER did.sad, violent, scary, gritty film

  • This is one of the best films ever IMO.

No special effects, no big cars and shoot outs, just ordinary English day to day violence and misery with a heart of utter darkness.

I can so relate to what Paddy is saying here, terrible things happened when I was young and nobody paid.

The Bobby Joe Blythe video shows that they happened stateside too. :(

The revenge element of the film is cathartic in that respect.

I love Paddy Considine, my all time favourite screen psycho.

  • "I love Paddy Considine, my all time favourite screen psycho."

    QFT.

  • @slayerfreak121 meeetooo xx

  • @thetruthaboutbjb I have seen dead man's shoes and it is very intense. kind f a tough movie to watch but I like seeing paddy do this one minute and then be in the movie about irish immigrants(sorry forgot the title) but they both are equally good.

  • this film means a lot to me!

  • this film was too good. so intense though...wouldn't exactly sit there and watch it with mates...

    still shook up by it.

  • @bigphishy I have just see thismovie one ime and can't think of seeing it again not because it isn't good but it does shake you up specially by the end. I kind of wanted it to be over with just because it gets in your head an you just want a break from it. to me that is a signof a good movie if it gets to you.

  • Love this film so much, Its a must see film before u die

  • thank you for this film. fantastic. Someone once hurt my son very badly, he has specialneeds himself. We watched this film together,he loved it .I totoly understood the brothers revenge.Paddy your a genius and shane

  • how badly hurt was ur brother if u dont mind me askin. I can kinda relate.

  • looks like gary oldman

  • oscar

  • really? he's got the same beard and haircut, other than that tho facial features couldnt be more not not not alike

  • To anyone who hasn't yet seen this film, you must see it. Dead Man's Shoes really touched me and really made me think. Excellent.

  • paddy does look a bit like gary oldman, but they are in the movie together call, the backwoods, worth checking out, then you know they dont look alike.

  • PS he does look like Gary Oldman! Easy!

  • @shewasahooa I can't see that he looks like gary oldman.

  • Paddy your a fucking class act! Wot a film!

  • Paddy looks just like a young Gary Oldman

  • I've been to most of RTL's gigs.

  • superb film,checkout his band aswell !

  • What they called??

  • "Riding The Low"

  • this film blew me away

if you aint seen it yet the least you know about it the better

  • Such a brilliant film. Proves you dont need big budgets to make a good film.

  • Most big budget films are shite in MY opinion. Or films with loads of special effects. If U have an amazin stroy to tell, U only need simple scenes and diolouge to carry it off. But then again I am not into fantasy films like Star Wars, watch me get thumbed down for sayin that......

  • @ElvisLivesUpstairs Star Wars was so successful because effects were a novelty at that time, and such epic space movies were too. Also the fact that it's a simple good vs. evil story from the perspective of the underdog. That gets a lot of people onside. Now it's not a novelty, the weaknesses come out, same for similar films.

  • Oh an a good well picked soundtrack. (I think Tarintino is genius at that)

  • Im his 1oth cousin err something......Im Alyssa Considine! :P :D

  • best film ever.could easily watch it every day, dont think the missus would b too chuffed tho!

  • your mrs should take up knitting

  • I have to agree with you there mate about the missus.

  • awesome film and iv met paddy and hes a nice guy im an aspiring actor and hes such an inspiration,

  • Very Good. Thank you.

  • Really good movie! I am going to buy it.

  • Loved this movie. WOW! Really good. This movie could not have been made any other way.

  • I live in the Midlands and am proud of this film!!! Original!!! Awesome actors!!! ENGLISH AT ITS BEST!!!!!!!!

  • Fuckin' absolutely, mate. This movie is amazing.

  • top guy

  • great actor. great film.

  • Tobey Kebbell was absolutely brilliant in this film his acting was fantastic

  • paddies in an amazin band called 'riding the low'- ive seen them play n they are really good, hes really good at entertaining a crowd. They sometimes play at BAR15 in Burton upon trent. recomend anyone to see em.

  • Saw 'em last night at Bar 15, superb set.

  • danny boyle is also a good director i think

  • Is his name Irish?

  • He is such a great actor (I reccommend Last Resort) and very beautiful : )

  • This was a great, gritty movie. It's a shame it's one of those under-the-radar movies. It actually made me cry and I tried to get my friends to watch it, they just said it looked like a 'gay British blair witch poject.' But it seems to me most British films such as this are pretty fantastic.

  • Why because it dosent have gunshots throughout.. I hate small minded people.. Especially your mates

  • What's the name of the song in the very beginning?

  • 'Pluie Sans Nuages' by ABBC. Check out 'Untitled II' & 'Untitled III' by Calexico as well if you like it. All three are on the soundtrack to the film.

  • i would like to star in a shane meadows film one day lol

  • Great movie, great actor.

  • One of the best films i've ever seen

  • completely agree with you ther. It just goes to show that u dont need high speed chases and a big budget set somewhere in america to make an absolutely amazing film.

  • yeah its like jesus preachin in a barn or the pope the sistine chapel. its all about quality, a good plot.

  • waaaaaaaaaaaah

  • are you the devil?..... "u better wish i fucking was"!

  • I told my uncle who hasnt seen dead mans shoes about this film and he said "ohh it sounds like another football factory blood bath" you need to watch it to change your opinion of it! thanks for uploading this.

  • Yeah mate - i had the same thought.

My dad had it and i saw the front cover and thought it was another one of those films. But it really is amazing - moving.

  • agreed, I've felt ridiculous trying to describe to people why it was such a good movie when the plot is basically. one guy kills a bunch of other guys because duh duh duh dah dah.

but honestly just watch it and youll know from the first five minutes this is something else. great movie excellent acting, i especially liked herbie.

  • Yeah its kind of bizarre that this film is basically a western. But way more badass than any other.

One of my favorites without a doubt.

  • I agree but I liked th cover, even after watching it, I thought the cover worked perfectly - in a way - because of how misleading it is.

  • If only everyone could show this level of truth and integrity...the world would be a far better place...

  • 5 Star-Absolute class and again shows Brit films are the best-Very touching but also with a black comedy sie to it

  • i like this film simply cos i grew up in a environment like that. i dont mean people bullying mentally slow people but mates in their groups out getting high and drunk, also i find the three dealers who were killed in sonnys house fucking hilarious good actors also!!

  • Just watched it, felt like my heart has broken. Great Film.

  • This is my favourite film. It really had an effect on me. Shane Meadows is a genius. I love how morbidly black the humour was in it, and there was actually a lot of humour.

  • One of my favourite films ever and hilarious in parts to boot. I hope its as funny to people not from the midlands. that really is how people like that talk to each other! awesome.

  • Romeo brass was brilliant aswell, paddy plays the querky nutjob brilliantly

  • @trezbongez I forgot about him in romeo bass but he does play quirky and unstable quite well in that movie. I couldn't see anyone wanting to mess with himin dead man's shoes!

  • Dance at my party.

  • Great Film

  • brilliant film, the story is really good.

  • paddy your great keep your head up you will be fine!

  • Keep your head and you will be fine?

  • i love you paddy and shane! lol
