I tried the D dorian, but when I played it, it just sounded like another boring scale, how do I make it sound more interesting?

You can turn any scale into a fun scale, you just need to open your mind to it dude

@Skadoosh417 figure out the pentitonic scale within the Dorian mode. in other words use the Major pent of any key figure out te notes (you'll need to know some theory) and apply those scale degrees to fit the dorian notes.

No, it is not sped up; it's 190bpm real time. I had to speed up the drum machine in a GNX3000 to 190dbm. It does sound quite weird though...

yeah you're right.. just a D major scale with the root of E.. just moving down major scales to get the diff. modes in an easy way.. \m/ megadeth..
