The black soulstone has to do with his.To clear this up he needs the black soulstone cause if its found and destroyed hes destroyed with it.I you watch the act5 scene baal has his his soulstone around neck.With the whole I defy you thing will be unveiled in diablo3 in the story line somewhere

@YukiGibson *Spolier alert* Probably Leah. Aidah (Diablo I's hero who inserted the soulstone in his head) is the father of Leah, so there is a little piece of Diablo in Leah. Also, if you listen to Azmodan's words, you can tell he is talking to Diablo (inside of Leah). Also, pictures of Diablo show a more feminine Diablo, than the previous ones, so it is probably Leah. (And she has a "corrupted" skin in the game folder).
