lol.yes the eland is surely not week animal. the bull can weigh up to a ton.yes it can easily out run or shrug off a few lioness.but make no mistake the king of the jungle hunting in a pack or a lone male have brought down africas best such as hippo, elephant, giraffe, the notorious water buffalo just to mention a few..so yes the eland is a magnifacent creature with some power.but at any givin time it to can be lunch/dinner for a pride of lions although more elusive&slippery in comparison2most prey

The elend is the world's largest antelope and one of the few of their family that can challenge a lion.
Healthy animals normally out wit and out maneuver their enemies more often.
Wildlife filmakers should do more documentaries about these animals. What they don't show is that most hunting attempts end in failure than success.

Cool vid 221, Elands are truly impressive animals, and I hope that some people that see this realize that herbivores are not weak by any means

I'm sure the lioness in this film realizes it.

That Eland was huge. Looked like a buffalo.
But no. Herbivores are often stronger than carnivores. That is why carnivores hunt in packs and usually look for weak, injured or old animals.
