And God, even in the name of science, the results are not so good! Lots of drugs that can be found on market have disastrous effects on people (The Médiator, in France, this year). The real problem is that you fail to realize that the test probably was to see if some medicine, tranquilizer or whatever had an effect. So they probably injected it into the ferret and hoped it wouldn't attack the rabbit. Maybe they were trying to find a medicine to make mentally unstable people less violent? It sure as hell wasn't a pointless test as much as you like to believe that.

Well, sadly there IS a need to use animals as guinea pigs, before they test them on humans.

@TheNikkonish Sorry to disappoint, but these methods are still being used. The footage are not recent, that's obvious, but it's hard to put your hand on new material. Just look 'vivisection' up on Google and you'll see what happens. For example, the Draize test is commonly used in labs.
