Hey not very scientific but rather entertaining, I only wanted to see how one of those things looked i got a project on Crystallography doing the Design Study this year and the project itself next year, so thanks for the video, strangely i feel better seeing the machine I thought it would be this really big scarry thing.
Wow, I did not know that all videos on youtube had to be well explained and serious. we were bored and I just turned the camera on and we winged it. Hope you learn to not take things too seriously
i am assuming this is a university, these guys don;t know how lucky they are to have one of these at their uni. Wish i could go goofing around one too, tho I'd probably call it flirting and wishing he was in her pants near an x-ray crystallography machine by the looks of the vid.
a pattern produced by diffraction of x-rays through closesly spaced lattice of atoms in a crystal, which are recorded and analyssed to reveal the nature of the lattice, which leads to an understanding of the molecular structure.
spacing in the crystal lattice can be determined using braggs law. the electrons interact with x-ray photons.
this technique is widely used to determine the structures.
...yes im bored and revising this crap for my exam....
The good old excuse: would you make a scientific video with me?

A couple hundred thousand dollars?! My co-advisor bought one second hand for.......... $15 grand! This is a fairly old Rigaku, so get real!
I hope you aren't grad students, because this is painful..............
