Yep - I suspected this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for a long time. Total fakers imo. The "figure" showing right in front of Jason as a heat source at the Samuel Mudd mansion - I've seen them debunk and poo-poo far less obvious footage in the past. EVPs in the Stanley Hotel basement - so obviously a recorded play-back because the words are repeated in the same tone, same phrasing each time you hear them. Nope I'm afraid Ghost Hunters have gone the way of Most Haunted for me. Amen

A ghost is a spirit, not a physical being. How can a ghost grab something if it has no physical structure? These guys insult our intelligence when they do things like this just to boost ratings. I have been watching this show since it first aired and I have to say, I am very disappointed in the TAPS team. I really thought they were above this. I am a founder of a Ghost Hunting team myself and we have found real evidence, but things like this make all of us that are in this field look bad. Grant, Jason, I am very disappointed in this. What happened to the team that was trying to help the public.
@Rhyannonification If you noticed. Jason wasn't there for the 2008 halloween special. For some odd reason eh. Maybe he knew that the idea of faking evidence was floating around the office in case nothing happened and he wanted no part in that.
I still think at their start they might have had some 'actual' evidence, but it's the stunts like this that are obviously fake that make them seemlike pathetic liars. I'm sure a lot of people still think they might have gotten a few things right, but these incidents make those real things seem fake =/
I have always enjoyed this show and just took it with a grain of salt, what they did here was embaress themseleves and loose their credibilty. This is a good diagnosis and I have also noticed that @3.30 as Grant is walking you can see the outline of a cable and maybe a pulley move back and forth in the lining of his jacket just above the small of his back, it eventually pulls to his right.
You never explained what could of caused the 3 tugs, only to point out it could of been faked....Without solid evidence of what he could of used then it neither fake or real, simple as.

People it's a TV show, there are crews, multiple takes, and what are the chances that they find evidence at nearly every place they go on every show with instruments that have NEVER been proven scientifically to have anything to do with the "paranormal". @JinxQueen GA spends 12-14 hours in a location, you realize that right? You're not watching the investigation in real-time, its cut down to 45 minutes. They also go into a location ALONE. Ghost Hunters has a crew of several people following them around contaminating the location. I've met the GA guys and investigated at an event with Zak personally. I watched him get EVP responses in real-time right in front me and caught them on my recorder as well. I assure you, they are completely legit.

Though I do love this explanation, I do think its kind of strange how the equipment they have that gives off loads of light would not have reflected off of a, say, fishing line. Devils advocate time: It is kind of strange how he did keep his hand down the entire time, and the fact that he came forward when his jacket was pulled lightly, though this could have been purely out of suprise. Next, I must point out how the thermal imaging camera shows heat coming from part of the jacket, imprinting.

It's hard to say really, yeah in some matter its easy to believe they fake stuff since after all it is T.V. Also too now that you point the thing out about his hand it does look suspicious. I've been watching this show though because I love being scared by what I think to be real. Although most investigations lately have been boring, not even much of a laugh that used to come from Steve & Tango. If anything that's what I like least, just how its boring.
I also noticed his other hand stays in position in his pocket or under his jacket! Haunted Collector is a good show to watch most of the time they barely get anything which I like because they really check for the cause of everything that happens instead of oh you hear that thumb yeah it was ghost. Haunted collectors will be like oh that was me sorry! :P And I like the concept that they look for items that may hold the spirit or entity of sort.

I honestly prefer Ghost Adventures to this show. I admit, in GA, sometimes when they freak out it could just be acting/fooling around, but the visual/audio evidence they capture is phenomenal.

I never honestly thought these shows were 100% real, usually they seem to run around scaring themselves & each other, but if this was a live show (I never saw this episode) you would've thought the trick would be executed with more skill. I think he/they figured you would be distracted by the talking, etc. One more point-to make it believable, I would think only one "tug" would be sufficient. *maybe* two. 3 is excessive I think, and let's the viewer have more

Do you have personal experience on tugging on things? and yes it would be hard to tug in your pocket and thats why they did it by the belt loop and made sure that his right had was always out of frame so you don't see him tug on it. This is such a bad "debunk" since it doesn't prove anything. There can be several explanations as to why his hand was in his pocket, etc. Why would you think his jacket would move if he was tugging on a string or something? If it was just attached to his collar, that's all that would move. If you were walking and someone tugged down on your collar, you might stop moving too. How many episodes have they investigated and found NOTHING? A lot. If they were fake, they'd find stuff everytime.
I only watch this show for entertainment purposes, the same way we all go to the movies to watch a good horror flick. I recreated the bed sheet pull using a safety pin tied to a piece of string with 1.5 to 3v DC small electric motor to wind up the string. Although I find this show entertaining , I do not like the fact that they make it seem as something harmless. Thus, some poor guy may attempt to dabble in this type of activity, and accidentally open a door to something real and sinister.
I was suspicious of this when I first saw it on the live show. I have been watching this show since it first aired and I have to say, I am very disappointed in the TAPS team. I really thought they were above this. I am a founder of a Ghost Hunting team myself and we have found real evidence, but things like this make all of us that are in this field look bad. Grant, Jason, I am very disappointed in this. What happened to the team that was trying to help the public.

I have always enjoyed this show and just took it with a grain of salt, what they did here was embaress themseleves and loose their credibilty. This is a good diagnosis and I have also noticed that @3.30 as Grant is walking you can see the outline of a cable and maybe a pulley move back and forth in the lining of his jacket just above the small of his back, it eventually pulls to his right.

@JinxQueen GA spends 12-14 hours in a location, you realize that right? You're not watching the investigation in real-time, its cut down to 45 minutes. They also go into a location ALONE. Ghost Hunters has a crew of several people following them around contaminating the location. I've met the GA guys and investigated at an event with Zak personally. I watched him get EVP responses in real-time right in front me and caught them on my recorder as well. I assure you, they are completely legit.

Though I do love this explanation, I do think its kind of strange how the equipment they have that gives off loads of light would not have reflected off of a, say, fishing line. Devils advocate time: It is kind of strange how he did keep his hand down the entire time, and the fact that he came forward when his jacket was pulled lightly, though this could have been purely out of suprise. Next, I must point out how the thermal imaging camera shows heat coming from part of the jacket, imprinting.

I've been watching this show though because I love being scared by what I think to be real. Haunted Collector is a good show to watch most of the time they barely get anything which I like because they really check for the cause of everything that happens instead of oh you hear that thumb yeah it was ghost. Haunted collectors will be like oh that was me sorry! :P And I like the concept that they look for items that may hold the spirit or entity of sort.

i can see where he is comming from but do u know how long ur pocket would have to be to beable to tug that hard to make a collar pull back like his did and grant always puts his hands in his pocket on alot of episodes so kinda doesnt prove anything but i can see why he would think that not saying its not exactly what happened but it would be hard to tug in ur pocket to that extent to make a string pull his collar like that

@chazeverett Obviously you did not watch the video very well... his had was by his belt loop.... the collar pulled down not back. Do you have personal experience on tugging on things? and yes it would be hard to tug in your pocket and thats why they did it by the belt loop and made sure that his right had was always out of frame so you don't see him tug on it. This shit aint rocket science.

I see where you are coming from BUT if this was the only part of the episode his hand was there I wound be very inclined to believe your point of view - HOWEVER, in watching the WHOLE episode you can see his hand is there many ,many times. It's most likely what he does to keep his hands near his body so he wont knock or bump things with this hand. ? OR he likes his hand there. Maybe It's comfortable! This is such a bad "debunk" since it doesn't prove anything. There can be several explanations as to why his hand was in his pocket, etc. Why would you think his jacket would move if he was tugging on a string or something? If it was just attached to his collar, that's all that would move. If you were walking and someone tugged down on your collar, you might stop moving too. How many episodes have they investigated and found NOTHING? A lot. If they were fake, they'd find stuff everytime.

I only watch this show for entertainment purposes, the same way we all go to the movies to watch a good horror flick. I recreated the bed sheet pull using a safety pin tied to a piece of string with 1.5 to 3v DC small electric motor to wind up the string. Although I find this show entertaining , I do not like the fact that they make it seem as something harmless. Thus, some poor guy may attempt to dabble in this type of activity, and accidentally open a door to something real and sinister.

I was suspicious of this when I first saw it on the live show. I was very interested as to why a man like Grant, who talks with both hands, suddenly couldn't seem to get his right hand out of his pocket. And as for how Jason didn't find anything....that's cause Jason unrigged the jacket collar right as he started his "search". Sorry....it's rigged, and they got caught!

I see what you are trying to prove and it is very convincing, but did you ever think that Jason would have found whatever was pulling Grants jacket down when he looked at it. He searched it well so he would have found something. Seriously, I hate all the people who are trying to frame TAPS as fakes. Lay off!!!! Even if this was faked, which I really hope its not, people have to stop comparing them to the lame ass Ghost Adventures people. If Taps wanted higher ratings, they would fake more haunted places, half the time and even more so recently they debunk everything, even on GHI. The ghost adventures guys fake stuff, but sometimes I think they actually stumble into real haunting and that's when they run for mama.
