How do you get past the first court? My reputation is stuck at 150. Do I just keep playing?

I just got the game last week. It was under $9.00 at Walmart (haha). I was thinking of getting 2K10, but after I heard about the glitches, I changed my mind.

A lot of people say that this is the best game in the series.

So, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

oh ok after you beat shaq that one? just keep playing and playing and you will get new moves and stuff wait for your rep to get high and you will advance to the next court. its real fun and the kid with the black hair turns against you so dont lose to him D: overall 247 next is really fun and yup 2k10 is glitchy at some moments. this has the best story mode out of all of them.

Yeah, I figured that out right after I posted my question when I saw that the next city was supposed to be the one underneath the first court.

I never paid any attention to the "LOCKED" vs. "UNLOCKED" text on the screen. I kept trying to click on the court to the right.

When I tried the court below the first one and it went through, I was like, "WTF? How did that happen?"

That's when I realized that the courts go from top to bottom instead of left to right.
