"Lets vote a godly man the next..." Although I agree with you in spirit, I disagree in practice. We, as the people, unfortunately, don't "elect" the President of the United States; rather, the President is "selected" for us under the aegis of democracy. The real power is the power behind the throne, in this case, that would be the Senators, House of Representatives, corporate lobbyists, and all of the other powers that be.
