  • Hello, Nice melody & harmony!!! I have a Gretsch Synchromatic G100 Archtop. Any I want to make her electric with a Dearmond Floating Pickup. I was wondering is easy to install the pickup? is there any modification that had been to the guitar? any suggestion would be very glad welcome.

    Success!!! *****

  • Well played. Good sound from that L-7.

  • great!

  • Barry....., wrote some fabulous arrangements !! And he played fabulously also !!

  • nice sound! Is this vintage L7-C?

  • very good! nice tone!

  • That is A nice Sounding Guitar. I'm On a search for that perfect archtop sound and I think you have it.That was nicely recorded too.

  • Nice!

I am learning this from the same EXCELLENT book.

Why excellent? Because it shows which left hand finger to use, great for beginners.

    Nice set of tunes.

You play this nice gtichy and you play it exactly as arranged.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks I'm going to Guitar Center tomorrow. God Bless

  • Great playing, is there a way you can show a finger chart

  • Not sure what you're looking for by way of a "finger chart", but this is from a Mel Bay book "Barry Galbraith Guitar Solos" where it's in notation and TAB.

  • Thanks I'm a beginer the only time I heard this song besides you was on Grant Green's album. I always wanted to play it, and you do an awsome job. And I was wondering is it a simpler way you can show someone like me.

  • Your best bet is to get a copy of the book, then use this as a guide. I play it exactly like the book.

  • Beautiful guitar with very nice acoustic tone. I've been wanting to record that arrangement but for some reason found it a little tricky. So thank you for recording it.

  • Thanks Steve. I've got a few more of these arrangements under my belt, but I haven't gotten around to recording them. Perhaps I'll put the whole book up here for people to use as reference. It's a GREAT book - I'm really enjoying it!

  • Excellent tone! Love the guitar, and nice playing.

  • Good book...I bought it recently and love the arrangements. Great to hear someone else doing a nice job!

  • really nice sound with that dearmond! did u do it pure acoustic or with a bit of a amp too??

    that looks like a l7?

    good playing m8

  • Thanks!

I'm playing purely acoustic, recording through the microphone in the picture. The pickup isn't heard.

    The guitar is a 1952 Gibson L7-C.

    I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Really nice tone. Makes a difference to have talent and nice stuff--even on youtube you can hear the difference. Good for you, man.

  • Thanks a lot!
