Another similarity is they were both amazingly sexy bitches lol. I may not have been alive when they died but I come from a KISS army member who was also fascinated by Queen, so I grew up hearing both bands music. I dearly miss them and hope someday someone will captivate me like they do.
God just had to have the best drummer on earth in heaven with Him. We will always love you Eric! You were the best in so many ways, and such a kind human being. I miss you sadly and I love you forever!
What's also sad is that on the Anniversary of the passing of these two rock legends. Instead we're celebrating fucking Miley Cyrus birthday. What has happened to this world. Almost disgusts me .
This is so KOOL These two had more in common than most people knew. Eric was a drummer that also could sing. Freddie was a singer that could also play drums. And they boteh died on the same day. The only sad thing about this was that when the news came out about Eric's death it was over runn by Freddies death. I guess if you die of aids and not cancer you get all of the GOOD press.
To be honest, I really didn't/still don't give a damn about freddy mercury passing away;freedy got all the publicity, and eric didn't get shit. r.i.p. Eric, you are missed.
The sad part (for KISS fans at the time) was that Freddie's death from ARC was sprayed all over the media ("OH MY GOD! FREEDIE MERCURY DIED OF AIDS!"), while Eric's death was announced as a footnote for 5 seconds on MTV, then "forgotten" 10 minutes afterwards (except by his fans). Even Gene tried to cash in on Eric's death by not letting Rockheads get released, except for a few rough pictures.

My tribute....
I know it was hard at first when you looked around for me,
expecting to find me goofin' backstage or pounding on my drums.
Someday you will begin to see, though it will take some time.
the happy times you shared with me, the memories are yours and mine.
I'll remember you, my friends, and how much you meant to me.
So please don't grieve and don't be sad,
it was just my time to leave.
God bless Eric Carr. RIP

That day the music industry lost two amazing talents. There must be one hell of a rock band somewhere.

I'm glad I got to see Eric in concert before he was gone, The Hot In The Shade tour was the first show I ever saw back in 1990.
