My Car Collection 1981 Cadillac Seville

That's all America did was give us total JUNK from 1978-2005. Finally they are starting to put out some decent cars. It's unfortunate that it took a total economic meltdown for them to get it. My favorite car I own currently is my Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG Convertible. 475HP, 465ft lbs of torque, and 1 of only 143 made for the USA. Now THAT is a car. Take some lessons from the Germans and learn how to build world class cars. Had Cadilac not F'd me over, maybe I'd have a new CTSV now. U LOSE CADDY!

@wayneerforsej Hey Wayne. LOL. Yes do. It's an UNBELIEVABLE machine. 1 of only 143 produced for America in 2007. Very rare. They only made 100 of them in 2008. The car has 475HP and 465ft lbs of torque. The engine was made by 1 mechanic, from the ground up. 1 guy dedicated to the engine, then he signes his name on a plaque and they affix it to the engine. My friend at work just bought a 2011 fully loaded 2SS Camaro with the RS package. 6.2 litre engine and 426HP. BLEW HIS DOORS OFF. LOL Tk care

WHAT A COMPLETE AND TOTAL POS!!! Had a black with red interior V6 that did nothing but break down on me. Finally it blew a piston rod and needed a whole new engine. That's when I said see ya! I bought it at Olsen Cadillac in Woburn MA. That was back in 1986. It had 48K miles on it, and I put on 6K miles. Because of wht happened to me I would NEVER buy a Caddy again. They've lost on on Hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential sales from me. Now I only drive foreign cars.

i dont know what is worse , the ugly back or the engine . the crank shafts used to snap cause the diesel engine had 22 to 1 compression .

Cadillac Seville with the Olds 350 V8 5.7 Diesel. A fantastic car to drive! Only thing is that it is somewhat slow, 105 hp is small for a big car. This is D-block, the same as mine. The engine has to work 100% to not fall behind, especially in a mountain country like Norway. Change oil regularly and let the engine warm up before loading load on it. The best is good fuel economy!

@Dieselolds In early 1981 models have produced D-Block. DX has two separate air intake manifolds. There you will see that the air filter is held in place by two wing nuts. On D-block is the only one.

I'm sorry to say, but this is not a beautiful car. It's an old person car. Someone probably died behind the wheel when driving this car.

Most modern Cadillacs aren't better. In fact, I believe they've gotten worse. That's quite pathetic, given that cars SHOULD get better as they become more modern. Oh well.

I had an 1982 Eldorado with a diesel, it had 2 batteries, it died on my while on a business trip, got it going, died again at home, had it towed to the dealer, the alternator went bad...very loud engine, beautiful car, black with light grey leather interior and landua roof to match, only kept it a few months, traded it in on a new 1985 Nissan Maxima.

This car has the Oldsmobile 5.7 L Diesel V8. It had no power (105 horse power) Also had no torque.... around 200 lb-ft of torque. This engine was a real piece of crap. Everybody in the U.S. knows it.

The only redeeming quality was the fuel economy. It got around 30 mpg.

Either that or this is the crappiest running gasoline 6.0 L V8 I've ever seen. (I doubt that)
