This was a really good movie. I know it's probably not well recieved in the states since it plays only once a day in selected theaters. But it really was a good film

The best movie ever. Very amusing and at the same time realistic. And the name Persepolis really suits it since Persepolis reminds us of Iran and the movie is about Iran.

The Islamic Regime censors a lot of what people watch, so that lengthens it along with the process of dubbing. For instance, one old Japanese show called Oshin that she mentions in Persepolis 2 was about courtesans, but the Islamic Commission dubbed it to be about hairdressers. So they might not know. Besides, she's very young to begin with and little kids aren't as educated as adults.

"Why you are watching this kind of OUTDATED black and white cartoon? Why not type pocketmon or barbie to search some updated animes? At least they are coloured. And how when this cartoon released?

great book. I like how the color version of her sitting down reminds me of the self portrait of herself on one of the book flaps with her bibliography.
