  • Bravo Mark Bravo. What a performance. You will live in our hearts and souls forever Mark Antony Fernando.

there has never been a lion like you for the last 50 years.Long live the Lion Mark

  • What a fantastic performance by the Lion (Mark Antony Fernando) and Nissanka Diddeniya.

What a shmae they could not continue for a longer time from 1970.

  • @MrDrmarkfernando yes,Mark & Nissanka should have started in 1970 and continued to this.

They would have created an unbelievable impression on the hearts, minds & souls of the

theatre-loving public.Unfortunately, we did not have that opportunity until 1993 some 20 odd years

after.Yet, it was effective, and fantastic. Two of them make Prof.Sarachchandra alive again.

  • This video was recorded in 1993 when Dr.Tissa Kariyawasam was the Chairman of Rupavahini.

this is an execellent piece of work and achievement by him during his tenure of office. If not for this

there would be no record of this play in its original form with Nissanka Diddeniya playing the role of

Sinhabahu for the first time with the original lion Mark Antony Fernando. It was , indeed, a great combination

joining the old and the new.

  • This should have been done a long long time ago out of resepct for Prof. Sarachchandra and those who gave

life to his creation. Its a brilliant idea and I must raise my hat to the one who took the initiate just before

this play Sinhabahu reaches its 50th Anniversary on the 40th August 2011.

    CHEERS.
