This wasn't a 2012 either. This video was posted in Oct 2010. The 2012 model year vette didn't come out till Sep 2011.

Yeah, it has the base wheels from the '08 and up LS3 corvette. Maybe he meant Z51? But how could he get the year wrong?? That's pretty bad. Epic fail...

@IrishChris1979 There are several ways to tell the difference between a base model vette and a Z06/ZR1. The obvious at first glance are the quarter panels, front bumber cover and wheels. Since all of those can be bought aftermarket though the next obvious indication is the targa top, Z06 and ZR1s don't have the removable top. As for the year, i think he just didn't know what he was taling about all the way around. Not really his fault, he just doesn't know vettes.

Yup I agree. This vette is definitely at least a 2009 though because there wasn't any exterior gray available on the 2008 models.

I have a modded '09 Z51 Targa 6spd manual... I had an '07 until it was rear ended & totaled sitting at a light. My mods are listed in my channel and I'll have some videos of it when I take it out of storage early next spring.
