Just a very neutral accent,we don't accentuate certain letters like Americans and Aussies do.Been living in Oz now for 10 years and my kiwi has been diluted,mum reckons I've lost all but the 'six' in my accent.Weird how kiwis overseas lose theirs,but other nationalities in NZ seem to retain most or all of their specific accent.No worries bro,chea baye!

But there are Poms that have been in NZ for many years that still sound like the arrived yesterday. Also other English speaking nationalities like South African, Canadian and so on. I wonder why this is? Maybe it's neutral, like you say and our accent is not really seated in one corner, but in the middle so it can swing easily any way?
