@IAMDISAPP0INT yes u'll need to install the extra CCSM effects Open terminal and run "sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager python-compizconfig compiz-fusion-plugins-extra compiz-fusion-bcop compiz-fusion-plugins-main compizconfig-backend-gconf" That should get all the effects :)

1) You have more effects than I do by default, where can I get the rest of them (like burn). I am on Ubuntu 10.04

2) I am doing the same thing as this video, yet the effects aren't showing / applying. I know that after I installed my ATI Driver, the Water effect stopped working, could it be due to that? If so, how can I uninstall the driver?

@TheOpi8 Actually, nevermind. I've noticed the animation does work...but sometimes when I open a window it doesn't, like if I am launching firefox from the bar at the top of the screen, it just opens it normally with no animations. Any idea why?

press and hold the super key, then scroll up on the mouse to zoom in, and scroll down on the mouse to zoom out.

(super key is the "windows key" on most keyboards.

How much space does Compiz occupy? 100MB?

It's been preloaded on ubuntu for the past few versions.

With the extra plugins package, settings manager and everything, it's about 25MB total.

That's the size when installed.

Downloading is a fraction of that, something like 4MB from the ubuntu repositories.

first, install ALL the compiz stuff. do that using the add/remove application tools. then, go to sympatics package manager or whatever and search for compiz. install the compiz config settings manager

type in your password... then when it finishes, check system > preferences

you need to get compiz desktop effects. you can find it in the add/remove window

Got to Synaptic Package Manager and search for:

And check it (Right Click>Mark for Installation) ;)

Aditionaly you can install Emerald themer and fusion-icon...

But anyway,doesn't matter :D
