As impressive as I found the techniques in that video I find the safety of it quite apalling. The guy had a broken hand, he should have been taken to hospital and examined before being allowed to continue. As verticalhooligan says wheelying next to cars is also unsafe, if someone comes off the rider and/or the bike could end up going into oncoming traffic.
Yes I do ride and found this video as I was looking at booking a wheelie school for next year. From a riders point of view I was simply expressing my concerns about nearby traffic. With regards to the unfortunate chap with the broken hand I was expressing my view from a regular trackday riders point of view in the fact that if you have an off you cannot continue until you have been checked over by the ambulance and medics they have on site. Safety is my priority, sorry.
ive been wanting to try to do a wheelie for ever.... i watched your video and went out practicing.... i can now do a wheelie and its all thanks to you.... my first one was at 25.... now how do i do a wheelie in higher gears
Lets see wet street. cones deviding you injury or lets just come right out and say death. people that never did wheelies before. under powered bikes so you have to give more power to get it up + wet roads yeah that a bad idea.
To be honest, this is the best learning video I've seen. I have been searching a lot in youtube, and there a lot of good lessons. I was practicing but could not pop up, after I say this one, and understood the Caugh technic as well as wobbling the throttle, I managed to do a wheelie...
@w4ynecarr obviously i do an 2 point out alot better than u coz i dont need no wheelie school 12o'clocks all day... think be4 u write.... i still stick 2 what i said on first comment learning next 2 cars an in the wet is a stupid combination..
but because you are a w4nker no doubt u have sum smarty answer 2 that
@verticalhooligan you do 12 o'clocks all day?? Would that be on the public road then, with lots more cars, and those soft thing, what are they called, oh yeah, people!!! At least these guys went to learn in an environment that only put themselves, and their cars at risk. Quite responsible, wouldn't you say... as opposed to doing it on the public road...
@johnypneumatic and i was right smart answer lol... they are right next two a road. no not responsible thas why 1 off u crashed and broke bones lol because it was wet.... an a shit teacher did'nt help u at all... an no i dont do it on public road wink wink all my vids are in car parks
