I used to have PS2 and played nothing but all the Socoms. 1,2,3, and Combined assault. And i thought the the first one was amazing, then the second one was even better. and the third was even better than the second. Combined assault is just a stupid non bloody add on to 3. but they still to this day are my favorite games of all time. i dont have Confrontation because i got a 360 instead of a PS3. but if one ever came out on xbox i would be the first in line to buy it

I own killzone 2 , cod4, cod5, res2. r6v,and ill have to say even though slant6 did alot of things wrong that i complain about, i still have more hours in S.C. than i do in all the other games combined. i also go to work and think about socom while at aork, i cant say ive ever done that about any other games on console

I can say that happens to me.. and I have a ton more games but socom is the one I have been playing often. I read in an article that on the PSN that states "having the most simultaneous online connections on the PlayStation Network." Which means there are more players on it than killzone 2 and Resistance 2.. haha rough start but its doing well

After 1.30 Socom's servers have been fine. Well for 8v8's and 4v4's, which is what I play. People keep bitching about the servers and yadayadayaa. but those are the people who got it day one, played for a week, and got rid of it. They have no idea how much the game has improved. There are glitches but it's not like they appear all the time. The core gameplay is better than most online games out right now. Quit bitching it isn't Socom 2. Go play socom 2 and shut up.

k.. i picked this game up today. headset is good, works nicely, but the game is giving me problems and its pissing me off. im a SOCOM fan and was anxious to play it when i brought it home.. so i pop it in and had to go thru the "game data installation". took maybe ten minutes or so. so i then start the game up anxious to get online. then it tells me i need to get an update 1.20 and it wont work without the update so i start to install it.. im not sure how big the 1.2 file is but if your internet is slow it might take a bit... try reseting your ps3 and internet... now make sure you are connecteded to the psn before u start the game.. as for the first game data install it might me messed up so just go into your saved games and delete the socom one... as for the 1.2 update u just need to download and install that,, no way around it.. sry buddy

socom 2 was probably the best socom created. thats the whole reason they made confrontation as close to socom 2 as possible. Someone plz tell me... who liked socom 3 or combined assault where the maps were 10x larger than its small map? games always ended in draws cause u would spend the whole time looking for that last guy thats keeps camping out lol. I think they did a really good job on confrontation and it braught back a lot of socom 2 players.

this is y i like socom. have to use teamwork. cant rlly have 1 player go in and kill the whole other team, and dominate to where it leaves every one else with low scores and ruining all the fun. like cod4 and css, the top player always has like 60+ kills while others have like 10-. i like games like socom. fun to play.
