You tend to forget MPGs when the HP numbers climb and the bigger they get the more smiles it puts on your face! Despite the frequent visits at the pump and the hole it puts in your jeans, I'd say this is the coolest addiction a man can have!

Back in topic, this is one hell of a good looking TT but may I ask why FWD and not AWD? Weight reduction? Faster overall? Wait until you hit bigger numbers then it becomes pain in the ass!

I'm getting an 01' to 03' quattro 225 right after school lets out. I can't wait to see what I can do to that engine. All I know is that if I upgrade the turbo, I will first make sure the flywheel will have no problems taking the added horses. My cousins eclipse with 400whp was almost totaled when his flywheel cracked because of his torque.

he doesn't need to do anything but rods to make more than that power. the stock pistons are plenty strong. and a k04 is not a big turbo... a gt2871 is a medium turbo. gt3076 and up turns into big turbo. k04 is a very small upgrade, go look up the flow charts then talk.

@iamkool2: Yes dude, with GT3071r you can expect up to (and over) 400HP and with the Gt2860 you should reach 350 whp.

Of course turbo is not the only thing to go "big power". Think about your air intake, injectors, exhaust and over stuff like clutch, etc...

I've got an A4 1.8T with the BFB engine (163 bhp), I had it tuned up to around 340 bhp, checked on a V-Box, we never actually got to dyno it because the clutch blew. Comp Turbo CT350 triple ball bearing turbo, Siemens Deka 630 cc injectors, Garrett FMIC for A4 2.0 TFSi, ATP outlet manifold, 3Inch exhaust from front to end and a custom intake with 3inc S3 intake. Everything is now up for sale at a very very cheap price as expenses keep piling up. PM me if you;d like more info!!!

@josh182389 : you're right mate. But install a bigger turbo means also others mods to do on this engine. The deal was to get a powerful 180 FWD for a low budget, if the budget as too be expensive, would be better to switch for a 225 TT.

@unknwon12 : Yes, I never heard another TT sounds like mine. I think it come from the "big air" (big intercooler, fantastic Mishimot -modified- air intake) and from the free 2.5" exhaust; big hand-made downpipe (2.5" too), not cat, no intermediate -no "resonator- .

It's a Milltek exhaust but, again, never heard another one sounds like mine.

Many times on racetrack people asked me about this sound :-)

@tautvydasv Nope, basically he's converted a 180 bhp to a 225 bhp spec car and added a remap. You will only start getting 300 bhp by upgrading the turbo, either hybrid or larger turbo.
