  • Of course they discuss trigonometry when I'm procrastinating and not studying for my Trig final...

  • The height of the top of the oak is equal to the distance you would need to stand and have the top of the oak at 45'. A protractor, a plumb line and a way to measure the horizontal distance are all you need in the way of surveying equipment. If you know the distance from the oak to the elm, you can then construct a triangle on paper to obtain the starting point. As a former school teacher, the butler will have done a similar exercise countless times in class.

  • That damned butler's got a cheek

  • I don't like how he treats Watson as a servant.

  • See thats silly. Why would the handsome smart butler chose the oldest, silliest and craziest woman out of all the women available to him? Why wouldn't the Butler simply have gone for the pretty young woman in the first place. Not logical. Love how none of this makes any sense.

  • @lollipopfop Love how you're too dumb to comprehend.

  • @beautifulpassion well i dont get it either

  • @lollipopfop Well, if the intention was theft from the outset, he'd want someone who was easy to manipulate, could pose no threat as a credible witness should he be put on trial and could themselves be made to look like a thief. It would be easy to cast suspicion on the crazy woman. Much harder to guarantee passing the blame onto someone who was pretty and popular.

  • @lollipopfop I'm telling you, it is not uncommon for one to court one, homely girl, to build one's confidence then to later have other women be attracted to the confident (not so much to lose) guy who will trade up to another woman. Happens all the time.

  • 03:59 - Holmes lolloping elegantly through the trees. Hee. XD

  • Oh my god. A running Holmes. Too adorable.

  • at 4:42 great story line the guy on the far left is wearing what i thought Holmes would wear

  • Holmes and his blanket all the time...perfect^^

  • @fluffylovers Now you know who Linus van Pelt takes after.

  • @JupiterIV haha^^

  • 8:15

    "-Holms."

    "-YeeeeeeeS"

    XDDDD

  • A butler leaving his master's presence (7.40) before being told he can go??! Tsk, tsk. Practically a sacking offence.

  • Oh! 8:04: "HOlmes... - EXCellent Watson..." Priceless!

I love this episode, almost more than the original story by Doyle!

  • I wonder why a "ladies man" would even begin to tie himself to such an odious woman?

  • They wouldn't. The butler is supposed to be smart and ambitious. he wouldn't have given that weird lady the time of day. Why would he? there were other women around. Better ones.

  • That woman freaks me OUT! I guess that's the point, though. : )

  • that girl is FREAKY!

  • This is precisely why you should pay attention in your Trig-class at School!

  • Well if it is, then the Redwall story is taken after this, because these Sherlock Holmes stories are older than Redwall. HOLY Cow, Sherlock's face at 8:05 IS creepy! O.O Wickedly sinister....he's so cool!

  • he looks like the guy from a clockwork orange

  • Oh wow, he sure does!

  • is it just me or has this turned into a redwall story

  • I'm half expecting there to be a sword tied to the weathervane.

  • what are you talking about!?!?!

  • I love Holmes's face at 8:05.

"Holmes, I don't quite follow this."

    "Aaah, splendid!"

For some odd reason, that reminded me of a science teacher who, when you said, "I don't understand this," she would reply, "Ooh, but you do."

  • Thanks so much DernWraithslayer! Could you please upload the remaining parts as well?
