Oh boy, you need to work on the finish and its not made of any products that you used in the kitchen. A finish is made of petroleum based oil. Use a professional cleaner and feeder. I personally like The Victorian House Finish Rejuvenator. You will never have buildup--like with wax. You aren't working on the wood if the furniture has a finish, thats not rocket science. Some of these videos are pretty dangerous. Olive oil does go rancid over time, even if you smear it on the furniture. DJ
