Dir and various others, right after the formation of the Somali state they became a minority and so did the Hawiye. So what happened? A political entity was formed on the basis of "Irir" which encompassed the Hawiye and the Dir(Isaaq). And the same pact was formed b/w these 2 groups against the Darod during the clapse of Somalia. @KINGZ44four it were somalilands faulth, that they were bombed in 1987-89, since they wanted secession from the rest of missing territory in Somalia, the regime couldnt allow that, they were already trying to get the missing Ogaden back, so Somaliland were only making the situation of the regime worser, which resulted the regime fall in 1991. but we were once the best in africa..

I 100% agree with you, in Somalia there is no such one language and same culture, It differ what part you live in Somalia, Northern Somalia, (Somaliland) speaks different version of Somali, Central Speaks the regular Somali and southern the most diverse part of Somalia almost speaks five different languages that are not even similar to Somali but yet the government or the so called govn't of Somali refuses to accept other languages as the second lan. of Somalia.

there will not be a government without justice the basic problem in somalia was not tribelism. if there is no justice there will not be government first 12yrs during barre term there was justice but 1980s his clan=darood tried to take the somalipple's maal=things and that idea from barre' clan was the basic problem which effected today's relitionship of our pple now somalipple can't accept somali centeral government becuse that events and u know unfortutely barre accepted his clan's idea.

This is an impressive video on the military matters in Somalia, but it would be better if they added at least some of the other big problems there such as the hunger, the kidnappings, the killings, and everything else related to a place without a real functioning government, a paradise for International Pirates, Alqaeda terrorist, and other world nighmares. It is good that the worlds sees videos like this to start doing something about it, specially the USA shoud be worried about this shit.

But when this Idiot used Clan name under Darood as they always like to be. was a define moment for SNM to free its People and finally resulted to surrender the North part of Somalia (Somaliland) and united to launch to share Power to overcome Siad Barre regime and they did really.
