aw the 80's when times were good before all the stuff in todays fast paced life. Listen to the way the bass rides and the keys fill it up and the drums are just right and the guitar in the middle good pop country.
The Forester Sisters are wonderful. I wish someone would put up Too Many Rivers to Cross and the Foresters singing I'd choose you again. And of course, Too Much is Not Enough with the Bellamys
I was overseas in the Navy when I first heard them. Several years later, I was out of the Navy and living in Eureka, CA.
I was driving to Ukiah, and this great big tour bus came around the bend of the highway...it was their tour bus. I wish I could have seen them in concert. Totally awesome harmonies.
At the very end of this video there is the start of the introduction to a song, I think it's by Kenny Rogers or Steve Wariner. Do you know which song that is?
I had one for a teacher. I guess that is the most famous person I really knew. I also knew the Alabama Drummer's daughter. I worked with her at a camp.
I think they are. I knew them during their most successful years. They went back home to Georgia to be moms and aunts and have raised seven wonderful kids among them. I last saw them perform at a fire department benefit in their home town two years ago...as great as ever!
what a good song..reminds me when my mom would listen to the radio while she did dishes after supper and these good songs where all out then...great song
Sorry, the only one remotely close that I, myself can think of is actually a song called "Break my stride" but thats sung by some guy named Matthew Wilder.
Lyrics:
Last night I had the strangest dream,
I sailed away to China
in a little row boat to find ya.
You said you had to get your laundry clean.
But I kinda doubt its the song your looking for, or is it? If not, sorry I tried.
I have a picture of my Mom and my 4 sisters with Kathy Forester(she was pregnant) and was holding her daughter. I wouldn't take anything for the pic, Kathy was so sweet after the concert 1982 ? in Greenville,S.C.
I loved this video as a kid, and this song still sounds so wonderful like it did so many years ago. I was so amazed when I first heard this song. I still love it today. The Forrester Sisters were really amazing!
Kathy (playing the piano) is my choral director at Northeast Alabama Community College. She's by far one of the most talented and amazing people I've ever met. I grew up listening to the Forrester Sisters and its an honor to get to work with her now.
@Sugarbehr1967 shows how wrong you r, i looked it up and it is nNOT Sweethearts of the rodeo, <2 sisters. Forester Sisters, < 4 sisters...4 verses to the song....each one sings a verse. Now try again, Know It All.
I just happened to hear this on the radio about a yr ago..thought it was beautiful. Then I found it in a kareokee book, sang it the other night. I just love it! And they seemed to like it too!!
Love this song. Listening tonight brought a lot of memories from my youth.
