I am appalled that Betty White supports Billy remaining in this horrific zoo. Obviously she is completely ignorant and lacks understanding of the elephants she claims to support.

That was an excellent video, it certainly made me cry. I knew animals suffered, but the extent to which they suffer just doesn't seem to be visible to our fellow humans (most people seem to see great creatures such as the elephant as 'lesser beings' or they choose to not see what is in front of them. Billy bobbing his head like that is just such a sad sight, the video shows in the first 30 seconds why they shouldn't be held in captivity, but should be left to roam free without fear from hunters.

The reason Billy is bobbing his head is called rep behavior it is a sign of stress, boredom,& depression. It is often thought by the public to be dancing but it is in fact very serious.

This is a wonderful homage to Billy and to the plight of all captive elephants. What humans do to the creatures of this earth breaks my heart every day. As an activist/writer for the animals, their pain and suffering is my own. Beautifully done. Thank you for speaking out for this precious elephant. I pray that he somehow goes to a sanctuary, but I fear that man's agenda will prevail and he will continue to suffer.

She is an advocate for this elephant's best interest and in this instance being an advocate for Billy may not line up with the zoo's point of view. He looks very lonely there in that crappy little pen. What zoo is this? They should be ashamed to have this laughably inadequate habitat for the largest land mammal alive. It is a disgrace to whatever zoo it's in. I would do more than just sign a petition; I would demand to speak to the zoo director and tell him/her what I thought of their shitty elephant pen.

Maybe if enough people did this they'd start listening.

Okay you were able to hit me on my emotions,my tears were falling for this video !!! Billy looks soooo sad.I've signed many petitons for him on website Care2.He looks so sad and lonely.They let him waisting his life there alone and in agony !!!
