I don't want to nitpick, but technically we don't know WHAT Sheldon is. Straight, gay, asexual, or anything in between. It'd make sense that if he wasn't outright asexual, he'd be straight, as that'd be more 'socially acceptable' for a show such as this. But still, there's a chance he isn't.
