  • what meaningp of turnon [ in this case pls?

  • at 1.24 the interviewer takes a break to pull a face. I like that

  • Comment removed

  • Leary multimedia fans start listening at 5:24 for a great sequence. Otherwise this is a good interview mentioning several episodes from his autobiography. Peace.

  • Leary made somewhat of a pretense of cooperating with the FBI's investigation of the Weathermen and radical attorneys, by giving them information that they already had or that was of little consequence; in response, the FBI gave him the code name "Charlie Thrush". Leary would later claim, and members of the Weathermen would later support, that no one was ever prosecuted based on any information he gave to the FBI

  • Timothy Leary stands for a lot of things I agree with and had some cool stuff going on.

  • i am a gaylord

  • He did NOT narc on his enemies. Be sure to check the whole story, it's very interesting. But let's talk about something even more interesting: is that a safety orange hunting vest?!?

  • Leary turned in his buddies when he got busted.

  • @hoosierhiver

And Heidegger joined NSDA still personal vices don't necessarly negate the message. Leary would be the first to tell you he's only a human and not to make an icon of him but listen to what he had to say.

  • @hoosierhiver Really?

  • @mushroomagical for real, they all ended up in prison becuase he narc'd them out.

  • @hoosierhiver Wow...I didn't know that! That's disappointing to hear. Gosh, I wouldn't even narc on my enemies...best to keep it all under wraps...

  • @hoosierhiver as do 99% of humans when put in front of cops who make a living off interrogation and ringing information out of you

  • DMT and DPT are even more amazing....

  • Illuminati! mind control!

  • @trakomako his body may be deteriorating but it doesn't appear that his mind has.

  • the 5 people that disliked this were so pissed that this clip wasn't interrupted with an Arby's commercial, I'm lovin it....

  • Your dream came true Dr. Leary. You have done many heroic things for civilization, not just with drugs but with the entire field of Psychology.

  • What an interview

  • I was expelled from high school for beating the living shit out of a gym teacher who came on to me and tried to touch me. I put that scumbag in the hospital for four months with the business end of a Louisville Slugger. That piece of shit is lucky to be alive. Tell me I was wrong. Sometimes being expelled occurs for the wrong reasons.

  • @cosg9531 Your wrong. A rather barbaric way of dealing with someone dont you think?

  • @DELPHIIII Your choice may have been to drop to your knees, given the degenerate oral sex,, and then accomodated him fully as he raped you repeatedly. That may have worked for you. As for myself, my way was preferable. 1) It removed this creature from the school system, thereby eliminating any further potential similiar situations, 2) It resulted in the aforementioned creature being prosecuted, convicted, and sent to prison, 3) It save me from wasting 3 additional years in public school.

  • @cosg9531 uh, you are extremely wrong. you should have gone to jail for assault.

  • @afatdutch More than a little slow on your incorrect reply, but, even so... You see, we have this little thing in our country called SELF-DEFENSE. If that phrase isn't clear, I'll explain; it's when you defend yourself. That appropriate little legality (which, in actuality, is HUGELY important), coupled with the fact of being a 14-year-old (ie, MINOR), made me as right as right could possibly be. Legally. Ethically. And in any other context which might exist. Your ignorance is your error.

  • @cosg9531 I'm sorry, but if a man came on to you and tried to touch you as an adult, beating him with a baseball bat severely would not be considered self defense, it would be considered assault. haven't you ever heard that two wrongs don't make a right? Most likely, the only way you got away with it was because you were a minor. this is all assuming you aren't just a troll. let's go check the comments on your channel to find out...

  • @afatdutch I'm momentarily still online, and so I'll allow you a reply. Don't ever say that you're sorry for stating what you believe, because if you are, then you shouldn't believe it, or state it, in the first place. I didn't "get away with" anything, as that phrase only correctly applies to an unaddressed wrongdoing. Had I permitted some deviant scum to damage me physically, and psychologcially, then that would have allowed a situation of "getting away with" something. All clear now?

  • @cosg9531 god your such a troll bag. all clear now.

  • @afatdutch People who don't possess the intelligence or rationality to appropriately respond, such as yourself, always resort to baseless juvenile name-calling. It is meaningless, but it is what they do, as they have nothing else available to them. It is typical of human nature.

  • @cosg9531 it wasn't a baseless claim. the way you talk like you are the shit and everyone else just exhibits 'typical human nature', your overreaction of beating someone into a coma for sexual harrasment, and the pride you have from the beating someone into a coma for sexual harrasment makes me think you are a douchebag, and/or a troll. troll bag. "I'm momentarily still online, and so I'll allow you a reply" - troll bag.

  • @trakomako hopefully you'll die before it happens to you. not to say you already aren't ugly.

  • West Point and Jesuit School. This gives you some clues as to what this man really was. He was also a satanist with connections to other high level satanists and government agents this includes Anton L'Vey and Charles Manson. Here even admits to connections with the Italian Mafia. Interesting, a Mafia guy at a Jesuit retreat. Big surprise there. NOT!

So how much of what this guy says can we trust? Little to none in my opinion. I like Socrates but am rather leery of Leary.

  • shit interviewer with creepy voice...........

  • Seminal figure in world history. A brave courageous man, an experimenter, an author, a scientist, a THINKER...Dr. Leary should have been our president...peace & opening our doors to the universe. But People of lower energies like Linkletter,Nixon, Reagan--and there's too many of them--can't handle free thinkers...KNOW THYSELF (stop following leaders--even the good ones like the Buddha---read SIDDHARTHA! We are still in a fascist state--but luckily this electronic medium MAY change things.

  • what a horrible interviewer

  • Is Leary wearing a bright orange/camouflage vest????

  • Great interview. Tim was a great man in my eyes.

  • What year was this interview?

  • haha i just had a trip not to long ago similar to tim of the 60's I thought that my mind and body are connected via eyes. they are the most powerful human tool when ur stimulated (canabis) it helps bridge the rest of the body directly to the brain and your mind and body feel as one! What was similar to tim was that be eyes being so powerful we need to watch that those messages aren't corrupt that we "dont fall under the curtain of consumerism!" "Who controls your eve's controls your brain"

  • where can i find that eyeball video?

  • just smoke weed.

  • So, the most dangerous person in his time, said that Thimoty Leary was the most dangerous man in the US!? That is pretty telling that it's considered more dangerous to tell people to think for themselfs than to threw bombs at people. Ofcause those concervstives/neoliberals wants to misscredit him. He sure is an inspiring person, and he tells a lot of things about this society that are profoundly rotten... and (and it's what is the threatning part) true! Tjo! :)

  • Thanks! Not pro or con, but an Informative interview which allows us to make up our own mind. More!

  • FANTASTIC THANKS

  • He can't have been that much of a rebel at college because he didn't leave entirely.

  • We need more men and women like this or this world is coming to a fucken end... dont submit to no one ask questions rock the boat you were born free will die free and no one can tell you what to do

  • Very good, relaxed and comfortable interview where both parties are relaxed and as a result lots of topics come forth in a small amount of time. This guy was extremely bright; wonderful talker.

  • Better than that fucking planet pop shit

  • lol you're gonna ruin my reputation.

  • The interviewer sounds like a bitch women

  • i fucking love you timothy

  • this is a must; if both you and your mentor have his qualities; you are going to be successful; Tim has reached his goals which he set back in the day; he is beginning to communicate to others and i would not say; Oh, he's psychic; sec. to enter the mind ; check your eyes. When police wanted to let men go from a Pot arrest; they would check their eyes; even the third eye; and then they would bust them.

  • the strongest drug is inside us!Lucidity and astral projection can be self-induced narcotics

  • Would of been great to meet and talk with that guy!

  • thats trance part was soo cooL! omfg!!

  • Did LSD kill JFK? Google The Daylight Test.

  • this interviewer is a complete fruitloop lol

  • Great interview! thanks for the upload

  • He seems extremely lucid and composed in this video. Very strange as I just commented on another video that he seemed just the opposite..... weird.

  • 2:57 - 3:13 that part is soooo dope

  • go ergot

  • Is that thing a man or a woman? my god it's ugly.

  • I thought i was trippin off LSD just off seeing the interviewers face lmao, good interview though! Tray Bee'en! formi dablah!!!!

  • That last comment I made was in response to keytoothed's post where he said:

Shit, now I know where Martin Short got his inspiration for Jiminy Glick.

I don't know why YouTube doesn't include that when I post replies...

This is one of the funniest things I've found on YouTube so far.

  • I remain sceptical of Dr Leary, I don't use LSD, it didn't really agree with me and I also know many whos worlds have been badly effected by it , having said that I respect him and agree with a lot of what he said re. power and control, he seems rational, quite undamaged by his use and I wish there were more who thought like him

  • Likewise, I admire your neutral observations of Dr. Leary in spite of you own personal decision not to use LSD or other psychedelic compounds.

LSD is a non-toxic substance, harmless to body tissues, that only causes problems when heavily abused (not addicting so it usually not) and in those with latent mental disorders (LSD can magnify preexisting conditions)

Leary took hundreds of LSD trips and his brain functioned fine into the elderly years. He was not "brain dead" and LSD is hyped. Period.

  • @STEPASAUR There are many other drugs as well, keep in mind lsd may just have been what tim was fond of. everybodys chemistry works different- what works for someone may produce a bad effect for you

  • While I defend Leary's right to live in peace and take whatever drugs or substances he wants to take, the man is clearly self-absorbed and an example of what happens to a drug abused mind. He's a hedonist in most aspects, but he certainly is not without some words of wisdom. I certainly do not see Leary as a wise and noble leader. Interesting, different, but not what I consider a contributor to the better nature of man. Peace, though, to the spirit of Dr. Leary.

  • @softlawe

    he is a genius!

  • this is a good interview, the interviewer is truly interested in the person he's interviewing, instead of looking for sensational crap tv like most other interviewswith tim leary

  • why did this man have to die

    before our revolution !!!

  • @blackspittle there is a little truth to this, but thats just they way his very complex social moment un-folded. Timothy Leary is also a very original thinker, his books are revolutionary in there content. He may have acted foolish, but he had no precedents...how would you have acted if it were you. I think Timothy did a great job.

  • He's right kids. Don't listen to EVERYTHING your parents, teachers, and cops say. Take everything real lightly, have a open-mind but a mind of your OWN. YOU have your OWN mind, so USE it, and don't let other people tell you how to use it, or else your wasting a BRILLIANT, INTELLIGENT mind.

  • this is one of the few interviews where he actually gets to speak and not get slandered

  • And I believed all that crap. Kept me shit eating poor for years till I realized it was all a joke

  • Shit, now I know where Martin Short got his inspiration for Jiminy Glick.

  • That was EXACTLY what I thought!

  • @Kaaawa2000 I feel like a scientist whose obscure, revolutionary theory has been independently verified. Now, if only Skip E. Lowe would interview Jiminy Glick.

  • fucking love the effects hahahahahahh

  • wtf ending is weird.

  • Tim still has a lot to teach us. Thank you for sharing.

    Peace.

  • Keen maaan

  • Great!

    Thanks Tim!

    Peace.

  • Is he wearing a hunting vest? Good video. Thanks for posting.

  • This is why I love YouTube.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Great interview. Thanks for putting it on :)

  • Another great interview, Skip! These are such rare finds!!
