One day I watched some stupid kid trying to disturb a plovers nest on the local football oval. I still get pleasure from the memories of him running from the oval crying holding his hand with blood dripping from it, he had it comming. Stupid humans:)

It's a spur winged plover from Australia. That's why the kid I saw had his hand cut and was bleeding a piping plove is much smaller bird, I doubt it even attacks you. They are are actually quite big and come in to swoop like a WW2 fighter, pretty impressive to watch unless. At the last minute they usually make a sharp turn with their wings extended and spurs showing. Second only in bird danger to the Austlalian Magpie which can land in your hair and pick your eyeballs out if you upset one enough
hey hey everybody i get chased by plovers for fun and ive seen 28 plover eggs in my carrer of plover swooping for fun and we found 28 eggs in diffrent places pretty weird at melton.westlake thers some there
at school i was heading to my next class and i turned the corner to see four eggs protected by two masked plovers. and yes i bolted
