I am your chrisitan friend in god, in our bible it says that cyrus of persia is the israel shepherd, he let the jews go so I am guessing after the jews left babylon, zoroaster, the founder belived in one god like the jews so they started a religeon and so that means that they belived in one god, but since they had other traditions to their gods like to tie that rope around while praying to their gods now they did it to the one god, and somehow came up with zathua mazada as a name. god be with u
As a Baha'i I trace my religious 'ancestry' if you will to the Abrahamic traditions. But lately I have to realize I know next to nothing about yet another ancestry of mine, in Persia and its ancient religions. Tiny as it is right now in numbers, most Western people never even have heard about Zoroastrianism. But I'm starting to recognize its grandness in terms of influence and heritage. As a Baha'i I recognize Zarathustra as a prophet as well, so I had better learn more about his teachings :P
It's nice to see there is peaceful opposition against Islam in Persia. The music was nice as well, especially the bass which was very... non-western..
A Persian Baha'i showed me a photo book of ancient Persian ruins and monuments and talked sadly and longingly about the days of the Zoroastrians. The Baha'is consider Zarathustra a Manifestation of God and point out that the Magi, Zoroastrian priests, are spoken of with reverence in the New Testament. I hope there's a resurgence of the old religion in Iran, to make that part of the world free again.
@91Tribual it is a religion i belong to... considered to be the first monotheistic religion in the world. Based on the prophet Zoroaster (Zarathusthra). Its preachings and way of life has been seeped into Judaism, Islam and Christianity... There used to be millions of followers. But once Islam invaded Persians, the zoroastrians were converted, killed and forced to flee.. The ones who fled, reached India, and they are called the parsis. There are only 60-70K zoroastrians remaining the world. Sad!
@utash321 a common?!....i don't think so...it was great! the action it's nothin..the context is everything:), it's not what u do..but why you do...you can kill someone without being a criminal, u can steal without being a thief!..as u can please, without being good! alexandros was an ignorant, as a dreamer..but still the greatest ignorant of all times!...ignorance is the greatest deses of all times!..when u think somethin is right, there no saint and gods that can save you from yourself!
this ancient Farsi culture was very advanced. the carvings prove it. only a successful society can have the free time from the fields to carve such intricate images!
the wooden buildings these stone structures are modeled on must have been amazing to see! all that nicely carved wood! i say build one to see what its like in original wood.
Food-4-Thought: Ahura and Ashur are one and the same God (the One_&_Only God). The Assyrians and Iranians worshiped the One true God many thousands of years before being coerced into christianity and islum. The truth is that Judaism, Christianity & islam are all three, copycat religions, based on our religion. Lets all be strong and stay true to our roots and the God of our forefathers, The Beginner of All Things.
Good and Bad is in everything the world is created based on these two opposing forces. But god allmighty (ahura mazda) is the encompasment of all that is in the universe.
@babek17 you can do such in your own conscious mind. But, such a thing to convert does not exist... You can only be born a zoroastrian. You cannot change your religion into zoroastrianism...
@babek17 Congratulations: the teaching of Zarathustra is the heritage of all Iranian civilization. I believe there is good in all faiths, and wish you happiness on your path.
First to clear things up, I am not arab. I am Welsh and Muscogee America. Secondly, I do appreciate your love for your homelands... but it is a shame to see the great people who once marched with Cyrus weak. Though, the most sad truth is some of the Iranians today fell out of line with what he, and the great Kings lived by. Tolerance. He did not massacre Babylon and declare their pagan habits wrong. No, he even attended some of their services in respect. Sadly that is not the case now.
Oh, by all means rage and rave, I am no Muslim, but I am sad to see people's hatred towards any religion. I will agree with you on the point of Iran is not ruled by true Iranians today, but I will say you do not reflect true values of your people either. Iranians were known world wind for being tolerant when they were in power, not you or the people who rule Iran today show that I'm afraid.
This Music is in my Soul. It is Powerful, Beautiful, and Ancient. In the American south we have a saying "No need to preach to the choir." So, I am not encouraging Persians, Zoroastrians, Iranis to visit my Channel page (ya'll are the choir). I do hope people unfamiliar with Persian Culture will view my video log which is on my Channel page. I want the world to know what has been forgotten about the greatest empire on earth. Mercury's song "All God's People" is in the log, as well.
Thank you akuk 1386 for posting this glorious Music. Thanks to my Persian friends who have contributed to my video log & to my education about past & present circumstances. May Ahura Mazda bless all people with sunshine, wisdom, and grace.
Freddie Mercury's Life & Lyrics led me to this site. The Faravahar gave me the energy and curiosity to learn more. Enlightenment can come, even to a Mt. top in Oklahoma.
Iranians were forced to shed their true identity. You first have to get to know that identity and build on it, for any future ideals to have any real "substance". Unless your out for money, then thats a different story.
all persians where zorostians but then the arabs invaded persia and forced every1 2 turn in2 musliums by force.. so originally every iranian was zoroastrian
Iranians were forced to convert to Islam by the force of blades.. it was never a true conversion or by choice. so we are all Zoroastrain by default... we never really truely converted to islam neither did our fathers mothers or their ancestors and so on... Long live the epic of Ashu Zartosht...
"My name is the good Keeper; my name is He who destroys malice; my name is He Who conquers at once; my name is He who conquers everything; my name is He who has shaped everything."
Exactly, and its even more sad seeing how much they are brainwashed and taken by a religion that doesn't even belong to us. Persians/Iranians are true Zoroastrians.
& its sad to say, that technically, all the faggy muslims that are persian, were once in their life zoroastrian, if you look back at their ancestral roots.

mgsriramiyer 2 years ago
Well hinduism is another old religeon that existed side by side with Zorostrians, so naturally zorostrians will appreciate it more than islam.
Even now there are more Zorostrians in Mumbai India than even in Iran. Hindus accepted them gladly unlike the Islamic crowd.
