  • Do not forget. You need a Snellen at 20 feet to verify your growing success. You can get them here, just type the 'W's), then

    .i-see.org/eyecharts.html

  • thank you, this is motivating me to look for a way to heal my vision.

  • thnks you for shared this, god bless you, !

  • Thank you, you opened my eyes!

  • you dont tel what we must to do now whats the exersice ?

  • Reading your Snellen and confirming 20/20 -- is the Bates method.

  • thank you so much for your videos!

  • Hello. Thankyou for your films. I too would like to know the answer to Alamdien's question 7 months ago, as it is very important in terms of (blind) faith and maintaining a positive attitude. To follow this properly is a huge commitment when very short sighted, and it's easy to become despondent when nothing appears to be changing.

  • @reachpreach You are quite right. The short answer is 'no' and 'yes', 'yes' and 'yes' but it's more complicated than that. All I can say is that there are people who have regained perfect sight using Bates method, and if you want an example to inspire you, try Esther van der Werff for example. Or subscribe to the Bates Method Yahoo group and see some of the stories there in the archives.

  • when you say things like "accepting things as they are" and "go inside your mind" it sounds very buddhist

  • @chuckthelumberjack Yes, seeing is a process of the mind and like evey other process it works best if you practise mindfulness, i.e. mental focus!

  • Hello and thank you for simplifying and summarizing Bates Method to us! It s very helpful for us readers! But i have a question! Did Bates Method fully restore your eyesight or a little ? Did you even had myopia or an eye disease so told?

  • thankyou this is very interesting

  • Thanks again! what you said about the seeing inside the mind not being the same as photographic images really makes a lot of sense. Obviously, you have read Bates' work and have understood with a depth that many have not been able to reach

  • hello BatesHappysight, i have 2 question: how many day will take to improve my eye? like 6-9day? and how many *hour or min* i have to do the method per day?

  • @TomChance96 ex: the swing method

  • @TomChance96 It's not really a method in the way that if you practice it a few minutes a day you will achieve results. It's really a lifestyle change, you practice certain methods to train you to do it throughout the day. It depends on a few things like your vision now, how long you have been wearing glasses, your motivation and how easily you can grasp the exercises. Some people have seen improvement in as little as a week and completely improved in a few months to a few years.

  • Great video! So nice to find a teacher that helps people for free.

  • this is great! I am reading the book but it is a bit dfficult to follow bc the terms are confusing.

  • This is wonderful! :D

  • Thank you for what you do for vision. Very appreciated!

  • I think this is related to why/how multiple witnesses to an event (like a crime) will have multiple results as to what happened.

I forgot the author, but maybe googling "Maps and Territories" will reveal something.

  • @FSTOPDR Yes. You only notice what you're interested in. Plus, with witnesses to an event, there's false memory syndrome, where they build up a memory which is influenced by what they think may have happened. With vision, the best way to make use of it is to be aware of the data you are receiving, and to continually check it out without strain or pressure.

  • @FSTOPDR The author is Alfred Korzybski and he did groundbreaking observations of how we perceive and make sense of the world around us which led to him developing the discipline general semantics.

  • How come you took such a great interest in this method?? :)

  • @BasicModelling I'm short sighted and about fifteen years ago I attended a talk about Bates method. It really excited me to think it might be possible to actually improve your own eyesight rather than rely on glasses that at best can only support the problem.

  • @HappyHag That makes sense.. :)

  • Thank You For This New Channel. I hope many people find it!
