Now looking forwards to doing the Red Bull F1 car. Oh and the Audi R8.......................................... hint hint lol ;-)

  • @shaddixamigo

for some reason I can't post a link here... just look at the main page comments.... I postet some new links to the images a month ago :-)

  • @Pixelbahn post the link in the video description

  • Great tutorials buddy!

  • I have a question, I would really like to follow your tutorials but I have a problem.

I use maya 2010 and my middle mouse button doesn't work in maya. I can't pan my view around and therefore it's very difficult for me to hang on. Any helpful tips? I really want to get a hang on modeling in maya.

    / Thanks before

  • @Sickomorvus

hmm does the middlemousebutton work in other apps? if it doesn't work at all you should buy a new mouse :-)

what mouse are you using? you might change some settings in the mouse driver software.

You might try to connect another mouse and try if you still have the problem... if yes than it' definetly a windows mouse setting you have to change.

    hope that helps

  • @Sickomorvus you dont need a new mouse.

Only disable the ScrollWheel funtion of your mouse. Because you can do it with ALT + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON.

HOW TO DO IT: click with LEFT MOUSE BOTTON into the CUBE in the LEFT TOP Corner in to the scene, then opens a menu. In the Menu, go to INTEREFACE. Then you see DEVICES and there is

MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL [ ] ENABLE. Disable it and every mouse should work fine in future :-)

    Hope it helps :-)

  • Thanks for making this (series) of tutorials! I've only watched the first one, but Im sure to watch the rest :)

It has been horror to find GOOD tutorials on Maya modelling (searching through google comes up with a whole load of rendering too... I dont need that yet, Im just getting started with Maya), I'm hoping your series is good :) (but the beginning is promising!!)

  • When I import image on Top View it comes out good, but when I go to Perspective View the image show black

  • Thanks for this great tutorial...I have learned a lot, especially about vertices and those cool keyboard shortcuts !! Can I ask you about your PC's configuration (processor and graphic card), because it seems it renders really quick :) ?

  • @vedtam

yeah sure... I'm working on a dual CPU Xeon machine (2,66ghz) with 8gigs ram.... I bought it 2 years ago so it's "the old" Xeon architecture with 4 cores each... and no hyperthreading.

My video card is the nvidia quadro fx 3700 (that doesn't have any effect on the rendertime but improves the viewport quality)

    Running on Windows XP64.

Nowadays you get almost the same renderpower with a single hyperthreaded CPU (core i7-960 or the i7-980x)

  • @Pixelbahn

i use maya 2009.. and i have a quite big issue..!

when i installed maya for the first time, the camera movement in perspective (ALT+Mouse) and (ALT+Middle B) was in a default speed..!

but after doing some projects..the camera movement speed became fast...!

i mean u cant rotate to where you want if u do it rotates or zooms in and out very fast and you cant focus on the working part of your model..!

Do you have any idea about this..??

    thankyou..

  • my rim disappears when i go to perspective view! plz tell me what i did wrong.

  • @kingofvideo101 oh i fixed it :)
