WMG took down the video, but they did not own the song Jamesatwar spoofed, "American Boy" by Kanye West. Isn't it copyright to claim one's work as your own while it is not? Therfore, Warner Music Goup HAS violated copyright laws. (Can you tell that I had a video muted by them and that I am a little upset at them? :P). There's the loophole, DOWN WITH WMG!

I honestly think these big companies are idiots. The way I see it the more it's played on youtube (and any other site I guess) then your actually giving people more incentive to download the song or buy a CD to listen to it. Similar thing with TV clips. As long as you don't show maybe the whole show (or most other show) and just clips then people are actually going to be more interested in watching the show. For example I started watching family guy because I had seen funny clips on youtube
I just hope that WMG goes down, because in 2006 / 2007 Youtube was the website with the most criative videos on the internet! but if this continues the only youtube videos that they are going to left is the news, animals, and tuturials!
then youtube will be a laughing stock on the web :(
WMG- World music group stock has dropped to $2, they have removed the audio on many videos due to so called copyright infringment included audio on 1 of my videos, if they dont think ill take legal action there sorely mistaken, someone needs to read the Copyright laws put in place in 1976 we as users have the right to use what we do, WMG will go down, if i have to ill buy out the controlling share in the company WATCH me!.
The copyright law of 1976 is no longer valid. Thanks to Sonny Bono the only way to get our rights back is to go to congress and have the law repealed. Save your money and lobby congress rather than line some lawyers pocket.
It is a tragedy that Cruel Summer is being removed,how are a new generation meant to find out about songs there mum's and dad's listened too etc etc So silly.
If they don't know about older music, have nowhere to hear it, they'll gladly spend their money on what they DO know. Which is whatever new one hit wonders the big labels spray-shit over their heads, more or less looping 4-6 of them on the radio and MTV for a month or two, before moving on to the next wave of supposed "must have's". Limiting the access to older music is a way of forcing focus on the new.
Of course, we'll have shut THEM down before that happens.
