When I volunteered to participate I did have some trepidation. I should not have. Well done by all of the other composers. Franck was marvelous. Great job by the Octavia and Maestro Louwersheimer. Special thanks to Matt Weiss and of course Joseph D Ford for their Herculean accomplishments in making all this work.

My hat is off to Matthew Weiss, President and Concertmaster of The Octava Chamber Orchestra, without whom none of this could have happened. And kudos to Maestro Louwersheimer for an exemplary performance of a most unusual score created by twelve different composers from around the world.

As for Franck Leblois, the proof is in the playing--and what superb bassoon artistry he delivered! Interspersing the Verlaine quotes in French added immensely to the audience's enjoyment.
