Thanks to Channel 26 News in New Orleans and WeatherNation for asking me if they can air my New Storm vidoes of Tropical Storm Lee on the News and their website! I had request like this a few years back also on this Gustav video! WeatherNation is going to do a National News Segment with my videos! I would love to work as a News Anchor covering these storms! Maybe someone will contact me about this soon? Upbeat and Exciting coverage I will provide! Thanks!
Im from New Orleans also but im on the north shore so we didnt get to much damage from gustav but in my neighborhood we got about 8 trees knocked down and a little bit of flooding but we got major damage from katrina
Bobby Jindal tottally failed. He called for a manditory evacuation of Assumption and livingston parish but he didn't for Ascension parish and we got the worst of the eye. Inface all of they eye after Batonrouge.
That was very scary....I remember this hurricane...we had tons of trees down and hail, lots of wind and rain....scary to see it right from your own driveway!
man i am so sorry i went thru hurricanes lili isidore cindy ( da bitch katrina ) ike and gustav OMG!!! i know what its like. hope you and your family and friends are ok!!
im from lafayette... im so happy we evacd outta there... they said they had like 8 tornado warnings within 2 hours over there... we stayed for rita when it came in and NEVER AGAIN will i stay for a storm... ever... a house about 6 houses down from us got hit by a tornado and made all kinda mess
ManI realy wannamove to Nevada. You never hearNevadagetting hit my serious storms because their in the fucking desert.Seriously if you panick like me during strorms Nevada would be the perfect place. And OMFG>On the news,They had 15 tornadoes touch down in New Orleans!
Certainly. Anytime you live east of the hurricane's path, there's always a risk of tornadoes. So, the answer to your question is yes. This information came straight from the meteorologist on TV.
in most cases where there is potential for a tornado to form, there is no rain or lightning. Click on any video of a tornado, and you'll see that it may sprinkle a tad, but it is dead calm before and while the tornado forms, if it does at all.
I live in Albany la. and i evacuated to Longview, tx. On that Tuesday after the storm we decided to come home. We drove through the strom in the middle of the night. It was the scariest drive ever. We missed a tornado by 10 min. and there was flood waters everywhere.
I think this is such an eerie video, the streets so empty, noone else around, the darkness descends in literally 2 minutes, you really get an idea of the tension...you're a brave man Charles! Thank You for posting.
I saw this thunderstorm as I live in Kenner also. It was one of the 1st outer bands of Gustav. But I saw no tornado. These types of thunderstorms are typical of the far outer bands of a hurricane. Once in the core of a hurricane, true thunderstorms are rare.
Creepy, creepy. i live in Ascension parish and just got my lights back today. I am happy I didn't step outside during the storm! We found fallen limbs that skewerd the ground by over 1 foot. Imagine that falling on my head!
Did u no, this is for people who live or no or r interested about Arizona, that a monsoon once called SEVEN tornado touchdown, IN ARIZONA!!!! And one touched down in Flagstaff too the other day :P
i live in zachary..and we had a tornado in our neighborhood..the first of one i've ever heard of in my neighborhood..and i thought i heard something but the weather was already so bad we blew it off as a huge wind gust..i'm glad we didn't check..i'm terrified of tornados..
i live in metaire, downed powerlines and wind damage but no flooding that my neighbor said, she told us that power went out for like 4 hrs at most an i live around the lake by transcontinental.
Wow. Very cool footage. :D I love how the sky can turn black like that in just minutes. I'm in Florida and I'm usually the one standing out in the middle of it, too. lol ;D Feeling wind like that is incredible! My prayers are with you and your community as the storm progresses. :)

Is a tornado from a hurricane or tropical storm different than a supercell ones ?
molonlave2010 2 years ago
@molonlave2010 Not nessiscarily, they do the same damage, except when they are from Tropical Systems, they rarely get above an EF3
