i have a 2001 mustang gt and ive never been beaten by a duramax, or any diesel for that matter. . its always been close but i always pull on them. i dont know too much about them but i think they were lb7 motors? they were 2004 ish bodystyle. never raced a new one, but id be happy to lose to a truck. hence why im thinking about trading in my gt for a lightning lol or a dmax or cummins

Truck or no truck...only thing that could make this better is if the "stang" driver stated he had a bi-twin valve 39.25 cam, quad turbo, 2nd gen screwed supercharger in it. @kmklightning1 I have a duramax that would beat almost any stock or slightly modded mustang hands down. Also I am not white trash and do not watch NASCAR. In fact I just sold my mustang gt because it was too slow for me. And no my boss does not own either one of my trucks and neither does the bank for that matter. @kmklighting1 I drive a Camaro and I've accepted that a tuned Duramax is fast as fuck. Same goes for 6.0 and 6.4 Powerstrokes. Diesels are fast, it being a truck doesn't matter. They also have 4WD man, gotta think about that.

Gotta understand that it's a 7000+lb truck bred for working, yet all it would take to put more than 400HP and 750lb/ft at the wheels would be a cheap, light tune. Basically, give a 2011 GT $300 to play with and an LMM Duramax $300 to play with and the Duramax would still win.
