  • It's he only time i can say i liked choir practice! especially at Christmas! :-)

  • Just put your speaker loud.

And shut up you just need to listen.

You hear the ANGELS sing out of a humans mouth......................... GOBSMACKED

  • very Beautiful . this .. this is music . REAL music.

  • Platoon...

  • que maravillosa voz,

  • This is absolutely stirring. It makes your soul cry out to God, and seeing that it is almost Easter, it's a wonderful piece to listen to at around this time. It just makes you cry out to God for his loving mercy, it also lets us remember how God himself died on the Cross so that our sins may be forgiven. Imagine the sorrow of His Blessed Mother, seeing her son, Our Lord, to be in so much pain and suffering. Yet, he died for us. Thank you for uploading this, and God Bless!!!

  • I absolutely LOVE the painting of Jesus holding up the wearyman.

  • @mariesadler I do too. You might note that the weary man has something more about him: he is holding a large nail and a hammer meant for pounding it into wood.

  • The song and singer are great, but I really love the painting.

  • I LOVE this song so much!!! The choir sounds AMAZING, and Andrew's voice just takes my breath away! He is so talented! And I love the way he blends in with the choir yet you can still hear his voice. This song is so beautiful and relaxing! All these voices sound like angels!

  • So touching!!! The beauty of the music and voices and the painful thuth of the pictures... PLEASE, PEACE AND LOVE it´s the only way to heal!!!

  • The note at 5:11. Chilling.

  • @AurynThePaladin the note at 1:04 kills!

  • @AurynThePaladin ant the note at 4:43 makes me feel in Heaven

  • I wanna know the lyrics!!!!!!!

  • @idontliketotakeaname go to the catholic church, you'll hear it!! ......Agnus dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis (x2) Agnus dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem ..........

  • never seen an "agnus Dei" with a rifle before

  • This is an angel singing!! So amazing that words not can describe it enough!

  • haunting & soothing at the same time. perfect for releasing stress and anxiety from a bad day. his voiced has changed to tenor now, but he surely will be an amazing operatic singer as an adult.

  • Great

  • 0o0 how could anyone bully him for such beauty!?!?!?! may they falleth to thy ground in shame for cursing such miracle!!!

  • Our whole problem in our lives... in this world

is that we can't even accept and receive with an open ear,

a heart the beauty of music: Without context, without conflict.

I hope somehow we will allow ourselves to just listen.

WE ALL have our "stuff." As children we were ALL innocent. As adults we ALL found sadness and loss; those feelings will forever be with us. But maybe

music can lessen our pain: LISTEN... we might find solace, peace and a brief moment of contentment of beauty.

  • im not religious and im not really a big fan of Christianity and its sects but i DO love church hymns... theyre so beautiful ^^,

  • Just a few notes on this wonderful piece if music.

Composed as an Adagio movement for strings by Samuel Barber in 1936.

Transcribed for Choir (as 'Agnus Dei') by Samuel Barber in 1967.

  • @ProductionsTfk you sound like you were one of the bullies.

  • es un video muy fuerte en imagenes y bien musicalizado felicidades esta bien logrado good job

  • @ProductionsTfk So you 'grew up' with Andrew? I take it you must have been very close to know so much about him. That must have been wonderful for you to know such a lovely lad, maybe you can enlighten us and keep us up to date with how Andrew is now?

  • @ProductionsTfk By the way, you should have paid better attention in english class. Your spelling and incorrect word usage is atrocious.

  • @ProductionsTfk First you say he wasn't bullied and then you say he was. Bullying comes in different forms. What seems like good natured joking to some can seem very different to the person the joke is about. It is all a matter of perception. You cannot know how it felt to him unless you were him.

  • stunning!!!

  • good job treblechoir, I listen to your playlist all the time; gives me inner peace

  • @simply1tom Oh, Thank you, very appreciat.

  • not bad, not bad at all

  • Tiesto - Adagio for Strings THE SAME !!!

  • YEA! now that i listen to it it's remarkably the same! cool:D

  • A heaven blessed voice like that carries the troubles of the world away on gassamer wings.

  • yes always...

  • Wow! Power of Music!

  • what is with the first picture? i dont get what it is saying. im srry im stupid

  • @ZacherySteels4U here on you tube type in "When he was on the cross i was on his mind..use florida boys 1987 singing it and it will help explain the first pic. i will explain more later if you like.

  • Can you tell me if he has a webpage? Just love his voice as it is so peaceful and beautiful

  • @terriesales yes

  • This piece nearly moves me deeply and completely. I'm in love with the harmonies. Tears long to flow from my eyes upon hearing such beauty.

  • @friendjonny Dont hold back the tears. Let yourself go without shame. There is no shame in crying. It just proves to yourself you are HUMAN ! You obviously have a heart.

  • Help anyone!!! Who is the artist of this painting of Christ and what's the title? It's stunning!

  • Thomas Blackshear.

  • @clemency111 If you haven't gotten an answer to your question, it's Forgiven by Thomas Blackshear II

  • Andrew, you are brilliant!!!!

  • kinda sounds like adigo for strings

  • excellent recording quality, thanx for posting.

  • I love his renditions of religious pieces!

  • Those eyes are not for looking but looked upon.

Caste them not here nor wayward down

Look ye up or faraway--to the "distant shore"

Under the shadow of your crystal brow.

    Your eyes alone are ambassadors

to the cherished promise of greater realms.

Let us remorse, for we will remorse,

Whilst thou hold firm to the Blessed Vision

From which they and I are peregrine.

  • O Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world have mercy on mankind.

Grant that as many as possible will know that He is the only way to rid mankind of all evil, sins and all our sorrows.

  • The Lamb of God refers to the fact that it was usually lambs that were used in sacrifice to atone for sins for thousands of years and the Fisherman refers to the fact that the disciples were fishermen and Christ then went on to 'fish' for men (and women) to bring them to Him. You don't have to try and 'enlighten' us with the classic conspiricy theories...we know them all. Why do you feel the need to attack us?

  • Absolutely the most stunningly exquisitely beautiful rendition I have ever heard. I have so many recordings of Agnus Dei, but for me this track featuring Andrew as soloist outshines them all. His voice has everything - quality, purity, power... truly inspirational stuff.

  • i think listening to this song cleaned my heart it's so beautiful i feel a even stronger christian now. i cried this song is so beautiful.

  • suas palavras são minhas palavras, their words is my words. you get right this is a amazing song

  • GODLIKE!!!

  • Absolutely one of my favorite Opera pieces. I loved it in the movie 'Platoon'. Makes me cry every time I hear it. Nothing like hearing it live though...it is quite surreal and amazing!

  • It's not Opera, love. It's a Latin invocation put to the music of Barber's Adagio For Strings.

  • This music is so beautiful!

  • 仙樂'太莊嚴了

  • What? Simon Cowell is a presenter for America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent and Pop Idol. Anyway, I take this picture in Google and I don't know for his sexual identity, right now It's not important for this piece from Barber.

  • I wouldn't say i believe in God to the full, but Andrew Johnston making him alive.

  • Very good point.

  • What you do not seem to understand Ownerccc, is that God IS Jesus. You should really read the bible and understand the holy trinity. God didn't send his son literally. God sent himself in the form of Jesus Christ known as the son of God. Read the bible man. Your comment is arrogantly wrong.

  • his voice is heavenly. it takes allot to make me cry, but he did when he auditioned with "Pie Jesu".

  • No, ownercc! This is the message that says that Jesus gave His life for us, so that all that obey Him won't desire to harm men or nature. And because of it, someday "the lion will lay with the lamb"

  • Glamorizing war and murder.....how sweet. Where's the part when the US troops picks up the body parts of the babies they just blew to pieces?

  • You just couldn't enjoy the music could you? Had to make some smart ass remark huh?

  • This was literally heavenly. Thank you so much for the shear pleasure of being able to listen to something so beautiful.

  • Beautiful, simply beautiful

  • Anyone know what is this first picture, where is Jesus and man ?

  • Wow, Amazing! I sang the whole 6 parts of Schubert's Mass in G in a choirs I was in last year. This is just the last part and this is so much better then us. Do you have the first 5 parts to the Mass, I would love to hear it?

  • Look in my description, It's not Shubert. But I'm happy for you with this Shubert's Mass. Appreciat your comment.

  • thank you for posting. Heavenly voices.

  • Nice piece of music. Good choirs. Good job! Cogratulations :-)

  • i feel like i have to die when i listen to this.

  • well you don't have to necessarily listen if the song makes you feel that way. Try and take that out of your head just listen to the choir and Andrews' beautiful voice.

  • Is Andrew Johnston singing in this clip?

  • Yes It's him, as soloist.

  • Oh, thanks! This is a really lovely piece of work and now I'm going to have to explore other works by Samuel Barber. In its beautful complexity this work reminds me of Biber's 'Missa Salisburgensis' written 450 years earlier.

  • :0( Thank-you sooo much for the upload!

  • Fantastic video,thanks.

  • omg....divine....

  • Splendide prestation! Merci

  • i didn't liked that hype about andrew johnston that much - sure he is good, but a lot of other boys are at least as good as him. anyway - this piece is beautiful and very emotional! 5*

  • very beautiful and touching

    I love this song

  • beatiful thanks

  • poignant et bouleversant

  • Superbe, déchirant ...et hélas trop actuel ! Merci de nous avoir fait découvrir cette oeuvre !
