@dylanbobby1 chinas nis the enxt world superpower, beleave me, maybe no until 2025, but still, our children and grandchildren will have to talk chinese
@Loxleiev The hell does that have to with anything? Norfolk and Werstern was the last steam raiload in the US, similar to this. Ching chang chong chung
@dylanbobby1 if you were trying to make fun of the chinese, u just remarked how retarded you are i wanted to reply to 4freespeech, just to remark his point of view,my bad, sorry
anyway, im not chinese, if you wanted to mock me, u didnt, its like talking to me as if i were black amking racists comments, i would be offended as a human being,
@dylanbobby1 Pretty cool that the steam engines at 1:26 looks like the 844. Cool that this video is all Chinese steam trains. The narrow gauge engine at 2:25 is also a cool engine to see, just like the narrow gauge engines in Thomas and Friends.
if they used the same GEVO technology in the steam engines ( use diesel and burn it in the firebox exept passing through the device that breaks the molicules down for enviromental pourpouses) it would be okay for the enviroment. It would also generate alot more steam.
Despite appearances Diesel locomotives are actually worse for the environment- the gases released though on a lesser scale are significantly more dangerous.
These old guys retired in 2006!

China has a lot of heavy industry, and we've lost most of ours.

just don't open your windows while the steam trains passing tunnels. That's nasty.
This was 2001. Now, I heard they've officially stopped the steam trains few years ago. Now China has world 3rd largest number of electronic trains.
Do India still keep steam trains?

It's interesting how Chinese standard gauge bears a striking resemblance to US practise while the narrow gauge looks more German or East European.

I just keep thinking how neat it would be to show this vid to Richard Trevithick, so he could see the last of his machines at work....

Hate to be pedantic, but 00:54 isn't a triple header, it's top and tail... Good video though!

This is so cool! And it saves gas... But not good for environment. But they look and sound great.
