Democrat = Socially Liberal, Fiscial Liberal
Republican = Socially Conservative, Fiscally Conservative
Centrist is supposed to be in the middle. Its not. Both democrats and republicans have displaying the same behavior:
Fiscally (ultra) liberal, socially statist. (State has rights above the people.)
In the media, the words "democrat", "republican" and the like have been twisted to the point of meaninglessness.
