I own a dv6 with Beats Audio, and i have to say: The Beats Audio feature SUCKS! Ok, Beats Audio on the laptop speakers are great but using the feature on headphones or speakers is useless. It sounds way to compressed, no matter how the settings on Beats Audio are.

And HP has decided that if you have the Beats Audio function off, you will lose alot of bass. You gett LESS bass compared to any other laptop. But with Beats Audio off and a nice EQ setting, the dv6 is very good. I have the dv6-6b80eo.

DV6 laptops sold in the USA and Canada have problems with the screen or screen drivers. There is a horizontal line that appears just below the bezel...and sometimes lines appear within applications and not on the desktop background. A lot of people that have bought DV6 model HP Latops have the same problem. Just Google: HP Laptop DV6 flickering problem and you be shocked at the number of posts.

I am in love this laptop, its affordable, powerful, stylish(at least for me), and it's good for casual gamers, plus it has a directx 11 dual graphics video cards! I play Bad company 2 multiplayer with low settings because the low, medium and high settings all look the same to me, so to get a good framerate(I get about 40 avg. fps) I put it on low, overall great laptop for the money. I got the amd vision a8 quad core, dual radeon hd 6620g graphics, 6gb ram, with beats-audio. Highly recommended.

I really like this laptop, i think it isn't a problem without backlighted keyboard, because the screen delivers enough light to see the keys clear in the dark.
