  • Master Wong gets me all focused during this video sessions.....He really knows what hes talking about

  • its perfectly fine, but not with his partner,,,,lol

  • 0:40 - 0:42!!!! niiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!!

  • that boy serious his style works i use it and its very effective

  • its not designed to touch him up...

  • he's like the Chinese Terry Tibbs!

  • @SilverBeird looolz .he is charie wong

  • 1:02-1:10 LOLZ..... :D

  • This guy is seriously class.

Obviously world class wing chun, funny, interesting. And the unforgotten english.

  • poor guy...

  • and then you got the perfect wing chun movement *punch*

  • WHAT THE HELL IS THE ELLBOW LAN?!

  • WTF 0:42 EPIC Moment.....!

  • He has a great advantage, looking like Morpheus in an asian martial art dress ;)

  • epic music when he slaps his hand xD

  • 2:05 poefik wing chun moement :D:D:D and than his pussy punch :D i love dis dude

  • if you pak da, pak da, pak da and just can't get through or hit the guy - master wong is suggesting that you can elbow the guys hands and wrists then step in and punch the guy with perfect wing chun - so the chum kiu - or elbow in this case - blow away the opponent defense -

  • if you pak da, pak da, pak da - and the guy throws a punch at you - you can block with tan sao or jum sao - elbow the guy's hand or wrist - then come in and punch with perfect wing chun punch -

  • @TheMartialartsJedi when did he say that? i probably missed it

  • the background music is hilarious... I watch this trying to learn, then the music comes up and I laugh and couldn't focus on the vid!

  • Hey Master Wong , I have veiwed the full form of Sil Lim Tao from your video series. It is performed well, but I just have a question about it. I see that there are extra hand movements in the one that you are showing in in your DVD series. Are there different ways that Sil Lum Tao is performed ?

  • HYM!!!

  • doesn't sound like a cantonese accent

i would lean towards vietnamese accent

  • Sheikk he's saying you not going to be able to hit another martial artist through that line, not that you won't be able to hit your common streetfighter. And Bruce lee created jeet kune do based on his previous knowledge of the first 2 stages of Wing Chun, so the techniques are reletavely similar.

  • He's a funny dude!

  • Man his music is Epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sheikkailija

    hater

  • Comment removed

  • he may look exposed, but there are other factors to look at. when he attacks the limb with his elbow, he would be doing so IMMEDIATELY after blocking the high punch, meaning the attacker would have to retract his arm to throw another punch.

the time it takes to do that is all that you need

also, the hand not elbowing his limb, is available to reach up and cover the face if needed

  • he makes it very interesting

  • I love this guy 2:10... lmfao!!!

  • luxenfux ...... wen u do that move wid the right hand u replace n block it wid the other but he dint cuzz he was only showing how 2 take sum1's gaurd down

  • If your arm still here, how you gonna hit him!! lol Class.

  • Although I like limb destruction as a technique, I dont think he is the right position at 1:43 to do it as it is too risky. If the attacker is sharp he will punch when the block turns into an elbow strike, his right hand is freed up and there is nothing in his way, he might not be faster than the elbow strike but if he gets a clean hit to the face he will do more damage!

  • Man he likes to drill that elbow in there, dudes arm had to be killing him the next day, lol

  • His partner is wearing pads in the arm, legs, and chest. If not he would be really hurt.

  • bruce lee rebirth. awsome!

  • omg this guy is awesome! what a character. plus he luks lyk my uncle lolz which makes it even funnier lolzz. i wonder where hes based.

  • Hey guys, theres no need to argue...Sinking bridge mean sinking bridge..we not searching for nothing!

  • Man,the other guys arm is going to get hurt very badly..with these excersice.good training!

  • With all that aruing in these comments im going to break it up... At 2:11 i swore to god he was going to break into a rap video ROFLMFAO! I mean if you don't practice wing chun with this guy it would be enough just to hang out with him!

  • I can't usually watch these videos...but Master Wong is charasmatic as well as an excellent teacher..I can watch this easily..some humour makes the lessons go faster. Buying them all as soon as I get back...

  • hahahahah...lol.."how many arm do u have when i come in to murd the elbow land?"...this guy hilerious...great teacher though...i think im gonna buy dis dvd

  • I'm not accusing you of lying. Your the one that said you've seen the videos and you are using them to back up your arguments.. I'm sorry your opportunities in Ireland are limited but your trying to make points about something you don't study. If I made comments about chen taiji of shaolin quan that weren't correct I hope you would correct me so that I would know the difference. Leung Ting's WT is extremely good, so good luck with that. Finally, and once again, CHUM KIU= SEARCHING.

  • gosoku2, "And stop referencing videos you haven't seen, saying "as far as I recollect". Either you've seen them or you haven't". please keep this civil.dont accuse me of lieing,i respect your sifu and if i had the opportunity to train with him i would, but being in ireland you dont have much of an opportunity to train with different styles of kung fu.

  • gosoku2 is baiting you for an argument because he thinks he is a know-it-all. If you ignore and block him he may go away and leave Master Wong's fans alone. He is acting like a troll. You hold the power to starve him by not feeding him responses any longer because you are writing to a brick wall...

  • i never studied wing chun formally, only by working out with a friend who's trained in the leung ting(im not a fan of this person) system and doing chi sao with him.i have seen gary lams dvd, i own it. please dont make this personal about the guitar etc.i train formally chen taiji and shaolin quan.i have had exposure to alot of other systems

  • I'm not saying arm destruction is not a useful technique. I'm saying that CHUM KIU DOES NOT MEAN "SINKING" THE ARM. Now your using the word "joint destruction". Stop confusing the original point. Master Wong is miss representing the meaning of the form and he is leaving out other important techniques and applications of the Chum Kiu form. WSL name is spelled Wong Shun Lenug, not Wong Shum Lum. Chi na or joint manipulation is used a lot. Alan Lamb and Jose Grados use it a lot.

  • You are being ANAL dude. And you seem to be picking a cyber-fight just like a TROLL. I have to side with henrym3483 that you are the DICK no matter who is 'correct'. Play nice. Master Wong would kick all 3 of our asses IRL so play nice and listen to him or get the 'F' outa this Channel's video landscape and take your Troll-like comments with you!

  • You sound like the fucking TRoll. And who the fuck are u telling people to get off the site. Read the argument you dumbass. It's obvious gosoku2 knows what he is talking about. If you study WC you would know this. YOU call someone a TROLL and you are commenting on them. What does that make you. I'll tell you. THE ULTIMATE TROLL. Do you have anything worth value to add to their WC argument? Lets see what you know dumbass.

  • Why must you argue at all? tain1313. You think you know it all start your own instructional channel and STFU. I am done with you.

  • Hi There,How are you? I've got some notices to some comments that I have never made because I've really never been to this forum and I haven't seen this video before.I guess that someone is using my handle here and passing himself off as me.If there is someone here from the Youtube tech staff please be assured that that I has never said anything bad here or disrepected anyone here. Thanks

  • The bridge allows you to apply techniques. That's what makes WC a close range fighting system, also known as the "elevator" art. The "ultimate aim" as you say is to defend yourself. If a bridge or contact is made while chain punching, then techniques and trapping come into play. That's what chi sao training is for. Now you should watch Emin Boztepe and you will understand. You still haven't acknowledged that Wong is wrong about the meaning of Chum Kiu, once again the original point.

  • I love that little song that comes in randomly

  • You are wrong Master Wong. Chum Kiu means seeking the bridge of searching for the bridge, NOT "sinking". The bridge is the contact that allows you to apply techniques and trap, not to "destroy the arm". Chum Kiu also teaches stance turning and introduces the student to kicking. Watch Randy Williams' videos. They are the most informative I've seen.

  • dont think he is wrong, just a different interpretation of wing chun.

  • He is wrong. look up the terminology for Chum kiu, it means searching for the bridge. It's not a matter or interpretation. Like I said, watch Randy Williams videos or read his books. If you study Wing Chun you would know this. Destroying the arm is FMA.

  • ive seen quite a few of randy williams videos from different people.chum kiu searching for bridge, ive seen quite alot of gary lam and wong shun lum videos that advise destroying the attacking limb and not all wing chun systems teach the same.destroying the limb is not unique to FMA, baguazhang and xingyi as well as other nan quan systems such a pak mei, southern tang lang, wu zu quan etc

  • I'm Gary Lamb's student. None of his videos talk about destroying the arm. Neither do Randy's or Wong Shun Leung's. Stick with the guitar. Name the videos you are talking about. I have everyone. I thought so.

  • you are mr gary lams student? ok as far as i recollect i saw some joint destruction in the wooden dummy dvd i saw. i never saw any in randys videos but i saw it in wong shum lums dvd.

  • You obviously don't study WC. If you do, please tell us who your sifu is. And stop referencing videos you haven't seen, saying "as far as I recollect". Either you've seen them or you haven't.

  • The point or the response was to recognize the correct meaning of Chum Kiu-searching for the bridge or seeking the bridge. That's what chum kiu means. If you've seen Randy Williams videos you would know this.

  • i understand nearly all hakka or southern systems focus on bridge power, bridge development and on creating a bridge. however the unltimate aim is to make your opponents bridge "arm" collapse or bend or in mr.wongs case be destroyed by your technique

  • "No point searching for something that isn't there" wing chun in a nutshell.

  • My name is Master Wong Fei Hung, this guy is my hero. I'd give my shitty life up to be his punching bag. aim-himrchp Long Live Centerline!

  • cool

  • yeah cos thats what chum kil is for...

  • isn't it called chum kiu?

  • Can i ask is this all one video, or do you have to but a couple of seperate videos? You share alot of information that you wouldn't get with alot of other videos.
