  • where did you pick this one up

  • I do not use my Sebenza very often...mostly just look at it and play with it. The Hinderer 3 inch XM is the other of this size that I admire as much. The Sebenza is classier and the Hinderer is a tough little sucker. Ain't knives grand?

  • blue thumbstud looks pretty gay

  • How much is a good price for this small sebenza? how bout the large?

  • So almost 2 years later....... whats your thoughts about the small 21 now or do you still have it ?

  • @roninair I carried it a few weeks ago, great for summer carry when you want something on the lite side. Never sell this little knife.

  • @thecajunblaze Thanks ,I have a used one in the mail,...Really enjoy your videos ,if you ever get north to Canada stop by ...eh?

  • True North Knives

  • I purchased a small Sebenza with silver thumb stud and spacer from a dealer here in Canada,I haven't been able to take my hands off it for a week.I remember reading about the Sebenza in Blade Magazine back in the mid 90's and thought someday I'd own one.I've got a pretty good collection of quality knives with a couple of handmade customs as well, but the Sebenza,Buck 110, Case Mini Copperlock and Victorinox Pioneer are the four that sit on my dresser.....

  • @Airoyster im in canada 2 where you pick it up from?

  • @tahomazz I purchased my Small Sebenza @ True North Knives. They have a really good selection.

  • the clip looks as if you were to use it hard it would useless

  • @KnifesForUs looks can be deceiving.

  • @thecajunblaze Oh. what material is the clip?

  • Can these be used for edc? And any cutting tasks?

  • @TheMRABC12341 these are made for edc. in my opinion THE edc knife to own.

  • hey cajaun, where could i pick up one of these beauties

  • @schu740guy I am fortunate to have a local dealer in my town. You may want to google for online dealers. Also check the forums to see if someone is selling a used one.

  • what he said at 0:42 - 0:45 ??

  • @SambaMaquina It's Cajun-French for "Look at That"

  • I am getting one now.

  • which would you recomend, small or large?

  • Every man owes it to himself to own at least one fine cutting tool. I own many knives, but the Chris Reeve Sebenza is by far my favorite. They're expensive, but worth every penny. Thanks for posting this vid!

  • you got some fancy taste, (or a fat wallet)!!! nice knife!

  • @nightmarefacility Empty Wallet after buying the knives. Never enough Knives.......

  • @thecajunblaze so, so true.

  • @thecajunblaze Better to be broke WITH knives :)

  • any random people recognize your sebenza?

  • I just got one off ebay. It took me forever to decide between large and small. I wish they made a 'medium'. Obviously I went with the small, and I'm sure I'll love it. Thanks again for another great video.

  • hey, can you do a comparison with the sebenza small and the kershaw skyline?

    thanks if you can

  • just bought one off bladeforum :)

  • @conair15129 I really like this little blade.

  • Just thought I'd mention that after watching your review and many others, I finally went ahead and pulled the trigger on a sebenza. I went with the small micarta 21. Fantastic knife! Thanks for the review, it really helped me out!

  • After having the small sebenza 21 for almost 2 weeks it has easily become my favorite blade. It's the perfect size for EDC, and the fit and finish is superb.

The only thing I would add is double lugs.

  • Definitely a work of art Blaze!!! My favorite knife by far!!!

  • @znicholson22 Sage 2 is a great knife.

  • @znicholson22 For me it is that's why I could stop at just one. The Chris Reeve Sebenza is my most favorite knife.

  • sweet, on my want list immediately .

  • would keeping the lanyard on, while using the pocket clip cause the knife to fall out? When i tried this knife out, i liked the feel of the lanyard there as a sort of extension of the handle, but i wouldn't want it to be the cause of it falling out of my pocket.

  • @dnullify100 I just take the lanyard off because I don't like the way it looks.

  • I am dying to gt my hands on this knife. The jimping on the spine looks weak though. Can anyone comment?

  • @aznpos531 I think it's fine, this is not a tactical knife so the jimping is not as aggressive.

  • I'm seriously on the fence with this one. I can't decide either a small sebenza, or the Sage 2. I'm not sure if i'll use the sebenza after paying $330, but i'm sure i'll be able to get myself to carry the Sage 2 at $150...

  • I just got mine today. It's just a sweet little folder.

  • @Iceblastr72 Very nice!

  • @Iceblastr72 where did you buy your 21 please?

  • i don't understand the fascination with the sebenzas....knives are cool but youre dropping over $300 for something that plain?

  • Wait is it the Chris reeve the superman guy?

  • @tapitio11 Super Knife!

  • @tapitio11 No, Christopher Reeves died in 2004.

  • I wonder why they chose to rivet the handle together instead of using screws... seems like something that is done on much cheaper knives rather than something that costs $300+, unless I am missing something

  • @nickclarson What? Rivets? Watch the video........

  • so is the handle that grippy? or does the shape of the handle just hold it in good?

  • Hey wait a minute. No: Not A, not B, but C ya?

J/K great review I have one in my pocket right noe actually. And after carryin several different Benchmades for a while you really can tell the quality difference all around.

I like the Benchmade 8600 Bedlam, but think umnum will be my next purchase.

  • So, what exactly is the purpose of the dual indents on the inside of the handle, on the clip side? The Mnandi has it too, it's visible on both at 3:51. I've been wondering about that for a long time.

  • @rockandrollrabbit that is where they removed some of the titanium so they can bend the locking bar over enough to engage the back of the blade.

  • redneck

  • @keepnitreal94 Neck gets really red when out in the sun for too long, like yesterday at the ballpark. I'm feeling it today! Thanks!

  • @thecajunblaze Like your attitude cajun. With all the political hate flowing on both sides, a little witty patience is just what we need. Oh, and LOVE that knife.

  • @azatrox Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • @keepnitreal94 Don't be a douche.

  • watching this vid over and over waiting for money to magicaly get into my bank account i think jesus came back as chris and brought us the perfection and beauty of the PERFECT knife

  • @emokidbc That's funny!

  • @thecajunblaze why the hell does sebenza's cost so damn much like at least 400$ for a folder? i might as well buy a fucking benchmade auto presidio with the same quality and with assisted opening.

  • @ApocalypticRedIX Not $400, only $330. You need to go get you one of those Benchmade knives, that sounds great. Thanks for commenting!

  • I think I have watched this video for like 30 times...

  • @oromoto I just bought another Small Sebenza 21, bought it used from kenthenoob. It's one of my favorite folders. Hey, thanks for watching, glad you have enjoyed this video.

  • @thecajunblaze I'd love to get one myself soon. I heard that the new one comes with perforated washers. (oops, I think I just made you want to get another one).

  • Hi Caj

Bought a new Alias II really disappointed, will sell and look for a Sebenza

  • YOU know how to do a knife review!

    The lighting is perfect

    You hold it still

    You move it slowly

Before people do reviews, they should be forced to refer to your vids for tips.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the comment. The question is did it make you want to go out and buy a Small Sebenza, or do you already have one?

  • good knife for every day carring

  • I agree!

  • They use to have a mini sebenza, too bad they don't make it any more.

  • Really, I didn't know that!

  • Blaze, the official name is Umfaan, but i call it mini sebenza. Do a search in youtube and you will see. It's discontinued now. But it's a cool cool blade.

  • Thanks!

  • I can't choose between small or large : (

  • Ask yourself do you prefer a large blade or a smaller blade.

  • go with the small, fits in the hand better, the large is a little too big. plus you will save alot of money you could get another knife with :D

  • how hard is s30v? i ordered a zero tolerance 0301 and just wanna know if that steel is still good

  • On the Sebenza it's a perfect steel. Holds an edge for a long time.

  • Mailman dropped my large 21 off at the door today mannnnn what a knife thanks Cajunblaze for the reviews.

  • Hope you enjoy your new Sebenza. Thanks for watching.

  • Cajunblaze ma boy! been thinking about a seb forever and your video review pushed me over the top. I bought a large 21 and have since sold all my other blades in hopes of picking up a mnandi. These knives have to be handled to be believed. Thanks man

  • You're correct. You can't appreciate the Blade until you handle it for your self. Congrats on your new Blade.

  • Alright... I bought one of these things. Should be here Wednesday. I usually feel that a 3" blade is more than sufficient, so I went for the small 21.

I tell you what though, angels had better sing when I open the box and I'd better NEVER lose this thing!

  • Let's hope Not! LOL! Congrats on your new Sebenza.

  • you promised the sebenza vs sage 2 comparison~ 5/5

  • I recorded it a while back and wasn't happy with it so I haven't posted it yet. I haven't forgotten. Thanks!

  • thanks~

  • I stumbled across this video not knowing who Chris Reeve was or what his knives looked like. 2 days and $275 later I had me a Sebenza sitting on the front door waiting on me

  • Wow! That's amazing. You're going to be hooked now. I want the Large 21 Sebenza now, just saving up for it. That's sweet! Thanks for sharing.

  • Where u gett it for 275?

  • That's fanastic knife, the only question I would like to ask you about this knife is, At $400 dollars, do you think it's worth $260 dollars more than your Spyderco Paramilitary.

  • They are actually $330 and although Spydercos are excellent knives at their price point, CR is in a different league. The fit and finish are more than perfect. You almost have to handle one to understand. I've you've ever owned a Sebbie, no other production folder will ever seem quite good enough.

  • $330. is correct.

  • Where did you get this from?

  • Sorry I obviously didnt read the description.

  • The thumbstud on my new 21 isn't nearly that blue :( and I've seen them so blue before in stores.

  • My thumb stud fades over time, it should be really blue until you start using it alot. I want a Large 21. Have you found a Mnandi yet?

  • Yeah I've had them fade in the past and it's normal, just love em starting out all bright like yours. New Graham has 6 ironwood and 3 snakewood in stock, Plaza Cuterly has camel thorn, and there's a box elder on ebay, so no haven't decided yet haha.

  • that mnandi you had in the video was really nice

  • Worked a trade for a large 21! Now it's Mnandi time! Btw the thumbstud can't be swapped to the other side without a press, and it's ultimately pointless. CRK makes dedicated left hand versions of all folders.

  • Thanks, for the info. The guys at Lafayette Shooters told me the thumb stud could be moved, but I guess they were wrong.

  • They probably just assumed or got some bad info. I can't think of any knife that has a swappable stud. Usually if a knife has a swappable clip it has double studs anyway. But a Sebenza or Mnandi is a design that requires dedicated right and left versions.

  • Lovely. There's just something about these knives... I'm debating Seb 21 or Mnandi

  • Both are really nice. The Mnandi is really a strong knife for being so small. Most impressive!

  • i love my small 21. it didn't come with a lanyard though :(

  • Thanks!

  • 0:40 lol what is that? Nice knife, reminds me of my skirmish with more class

  • Congrats on another awesome addition to your collection! Looking forward to hearing how the Sage compares to it...

  • That video is only my list. The problem is I really like both, so it's finding out what I want to say about each. Thanks for watching.

  • That's Cool!

  • that is one beautiful knife. Lovin that style. Great review man!

  • Thanks!

  • sweet knife damn i wish i could get my hands on one

  • Just save up Gangsta! It took my a long time before I could afford one of these.

  • MMM sounds good but how much does it cost and I recall you also have the big one too right?

  • Very nice knife!

Great videos, keep up the good work!

  • Glad you like.

  • Its not really sparking my interest very much...The thumb stud doesn't look very functional. But, I can't actually speak to it, because I don't own any Chris Reeve knives! They are expensive though are they not? Its just from watching this video it looks to me like there are better options, I guess I'd have to handle one to find out though.

  • I hear ya buddy!

  • What in the world does "Kat dey dant" mean? Just wondering. I've heard that from you before. Oh what about the cooking videos. I love that Cajun cooking!!

  • means "LOOK AT THAT!" expression.

  • Awesome purchase. Looks like you have a good knife store nearby. I'm trying to decide between the small or large sebbie. Which size do you like best now?

  • Yes Lafayette Shooters carries some very nice knives and they also have a large selection, just wish they carried the SNG. Butt you can't have everything! LOL! I have to say I like the small 21 a tiny bit better. Not to say I don't like the Large one, but the small 21 is just a fine cutting tool. Very easy to work with on EDC chores.

  • cool knife!!! :D

  • Very!

  • That is one beautiful knife!!! Lucky Lucky Man!

  • Thanks for watching.

  • You are a lucky man "Mr Blaze" Keep it up.

  • Glad you like the vids!

  • Now that I do like a lot, it's a joy to see (and hold judging by your comments). Super looking knife. !!

  • Thanks!

  • i like how the pocket clip also presses down on the frame lock to make it stronger (or so it looks like it does)

  • Yes, great point!

  • beautiful!

  • Thanks!
