i had a neighbour who was basque and my gf is georgian, and i have listened to both basque and georgian folk songs and i have to say someone who is neither georgian or basque will realise that they are different languages, they are just unbelivably simmilar, and its interesting coz they are at the either ends of europe..

I worked in Georgia for a year on the BTC pipeline project. Although Georgia has many problems, it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world (go and see Akhalsiki) and the people are the nicest, most friendly people I ever met. I love Georgia.

I think it is true! I know Georgia has many problems, and some area's are terrible, the country is tired. BUT, look what Georgia has been through... Civil wars, and years of poor treatment from the Russian Government. I worked on the BTC pipeline, and I saw a LOT of Georgia, and also Azerbaijan and Turkey. Akhalsiki is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Take care. Mark
