what ninja pro does is reduce your footstep volume to 1/4 of what it was. (sitrep pro increases footstep volume by 4 times.) so stepping on any surface can be heard, but stepping on some surfaces are louder than stepping on others. i have astro a40's - trust me you can hear ninja pro footsteps anywhere.

Wings, I see this differently Ninja Pro is a counter to Sitrep Pro, but not vice versa. And I think that is how the game was designed, much like how Cold-Blooded is a counter to killstreaks. Nobody ever asks for a counter to Cold-Blooded?

i have noticed for a while that ninja is waaaay too quiet in mw2 compared to dead silence in cod4. even with my headset, i can only hear people when they are right in front of me. on cod4, you could hear people on the other side of the map shipment even with dead silence. this makes headsets almost useless if you are playing against a team with ninja, and very unfair to anyone trying to have fun without ninja. thanks for bringing it up wings :D

I think they should of made sit rep pro able to hear ninja pro like normal steps. It would really have a better balance for games like SnD because the two perks would cancel and not be overused. Sitrep would be the ultimate choice but then there's the heartbeat. So it would be counterable. i have heard ninja pro without sitrep. he was about 10 feet behind me, in the building on scrapyard (i remember this cuz it was S&D, and it threw me off that i didnt hear him coming in). having said that i died because there just isnt enough time to react to it when hes 10 feet behind you, considering ninja tends to lunge a bit when you knife with it

Me and my friends are all really good COD players with great tactics (that don't involve noob tubes) and the lowest KDR on my team is 1.54 (he's our runner, rush planter) which you might think sucks, but is better than half the players online. But does uncounterable make it game-breaking? I think not. In fact, the only perk that actually has a counter is Sitrep Pro. The rest all give you an advantage with no penalty or built-in counter just like Ninja does, the only difference is that the rest of the third tier perks in MW2 happen to either suck or are beneath skilled players. Put Ninja in the same slot as Marathon/Sleight of Hand/Bling/Scavenger and you wouldn't see it used nearly as much.
