I'm from san Antonio texas went to middle school with them. They live in the area. Ninas voice is real she has played numerous at local bars and clubs. This is not some freaking trick that they used to slow down her voice. She is truley talented.

I came back to this after watching the Behind the Scenes. I guess it should be obvious but it didn't occur to me the first time I saw this, that you have to record the lip syncing at high speed and then slow it down to normal to get the effect of Nina singing.

@bd31309 I know exactly what you are talking about. This version is nice, but I am definitely partial to the earlier recording of this song. It's not quite as slow and it's a little more raw or more "punk" as you said. It seems to have more emotion to it then this version. Either way though - it's still a great song.
